About this house rental
"...The home's door opens and the beauty floods your heart and overflows with the surprise of the “plateloticho” (the plate wall)! They are the hand painted plates, which accompanied the bride to her new home, with the big mirror in the middle and the family pictures. But why so many plates? With beauty there is no “why” – it just saves you!.."
"Serafi" home is located in Archangelos Rhodes (right next to "Tsampika" home). It is 70m2, open plan space with two double beds (in the type of wooden lofts) and a single one (wooden loft too) with Coco-Mat bed mattresses and pillows. The comfortable "soufas" is one of the distinctive features of the house.
The kitchen (fully equipped) is a separate room connected both to the main house and the courtyard. There is a large courtyard with elevated yard walls. It is full of aromatic herbs and flowers, exciting for children to play and for adults to relax. "Serafi" and "Tsampika" homes are ideal for hosting two friendly families.
Restaurants (including food delivery services), Supermarkets, Bank/ATM, Post office, Pharmacy, Communication Services, Health Center/medical services, computer and phone stores, travel services/car rental, cafeterias etc. Everything is on walking distance, 50-200 meters from the home.
Guests can also enjoy the great local beaches: "Tsampika", "St. Agatha" and "Stegna", all very close to the Archangelos (2 - 5min by car).
The public transport is frequent. Bus stop - 50m from the house. The bus will take you to the city of Rhodes and to many beautiful beaches such as Kalithea, Afandou, Kalathos, Lindos and, further south, Prassonissi.
The opening of these homes, "Serafi" & "Tsampika", to the people aims to keep the unique local cultural heritage of Archangelos Rhodes alive and pass it on all over the world. They do it by hosting the guests for a week in a “home - Treasure of Archangelic Tradition” and by encouraging them to live the experience of the local tradition which is exuded by “Serafi” & “Tsampika” traditional homes, to taste local dishes and traditional bread baked in the wood burning oven in the yard, to familiarize themselves with the local aromatic herbs of the yard.
Archangelos village is located in the middle eastern part of the island. It is the perfect location for being able to explore the entire island. And of course, so close to the best beaches in Rhodes island, like our local beaches "Tsampika", "Stegna", "Saint Agathi".
In Archangelos you will get a real sense of Greek local life and feel so at home. A quiet and less touristy atmosphere.
The house was built at the start of the previous century, in the 1915s, in compliance with the traditional arch type architecture of Archangelos. It was fully renovated in 2012-13 by the original owner. It was done with absolute respect towards the “arch type” archangelic home architecture.

Wir waren das 2. Mal da und haben es wieder sehr genossen! Wir wurden stets umsorgt, Kleinigkeiten wurden sofort erledigt und auch angesichts der Brandbedrohung (Strom- und Wasserausfall für Stunden) hat sich Maria fürsorglich um uns gekümmert. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Susanne und Jochen

Ein sehr gepflegtes Haus mit viel Atmosphäre. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns auch der Sitzplatz im Garten im Schatten des Orangenbäumchens und der Zypressen. Archangelos ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt um die Insel mit dem Mietwagen zu erkunden.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à rhodes. La maison est parfaite: bien située pour visiter toute l île et fonctionnelle. Un grand merci à Maria pour son accueil et sa gentillesse. Caroline, Gauthier et Titouan.

Salve. Ho soggiornato in "Serafi Home" in Agosto insieme alla mia famiglia e abbiamo trascorso una settimana immersi nella storia e nelle tradizioni della Grecia piacevolmente accompagnati dall'entusiasmo della proprietaria che non solo ci ha coperto di attenzioni ma ci ha invitati a trascorrere delle serate tipicamente greche e ci ha fatto assaggiare piatti della tradizione sapientemente cucinati da lei. Insomma un'esperienza assolutamente indimenticabile!
