The location on the island is excellent, and I arrived right in the middle of German carnival, which made the whole area feel lively and fun. Even with that energy outside, the hotel itself was very quiet, so I slept well, and breakfast was a great start to the day.
The downside was check-in, it was difficult and confusing. I had to make a phone call to figure out how to access my room, and it was hard to communicate because they didn’t speak English.

Nice large comfortable room.
It was not clear on booking.com that this is an unmanned hotel. If I’d known, I would not have booked. Far too expensive to not have front of desk staff.
Booked the hotel 2 hours before arrival, but no access code sent, so stood around in the rain for 30 mins and then went to a pub for shelter. Called the contact numbers on booking.com and outside the hotel several times, but no answer. Finally someone sent the code with no apology, just a blunt impersonal message.
Staff were there in the morning, but the the only time they acknowledged us was when they wanted to charge us for tourist tax.
Only one TV remote for 2 rooms with 2 TV’s, some of the lights in the room didn’t work.
Would not return.
