Hotel Mäuerle

A very charming hotel in a perfect location, just a short walk from the city centre. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety of high‑quality options. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive throughout our stay. The underground room was a bit small for four people and the bathroom slightly inconvenient, but overall the hotel delivers strong value for money and is exceptionally clean. Convenient parking is available right in front of the hotel at a very reasonable price.

The location was very good. The room was clean and comfortable, and I was given access to it before 12:00, which was great.

There was nobody at the hotel. Access was via a code to a letterbox. Luckily, the door was open and there were two cleaning staff inside, who contacted the owner/manager, so we got the key. One of the reasons that I like to stay in hotels is that there are normally people there to keep an eye out for me. I find it strange not to have any human contact. I could not find (or get) a wifi code, and I had to leave before the breakfast started at 08:00. Having said that, I would return.

The location on the island is excellent, and I arrived right in the middle of German carnival, which made the whole area feel lively and fun. Even with that energy outside, the hotel itself was very quiet, so I slept well, and breakfast was a great start to the day.

The downside was check-in, it was difficult and confusing. I had to make a phone call to figure out how to access my room, and it was hard to communicate because they didn’t speak English.

Good location in Lindau. Close from restaurants and cafes.

I couldn't do shower because no hot water come.
