The room and the facilities were new and very clean. They had an issue with the cleaning staff during check-in but luckily the front desk was able to accommodate us and find a backup room! The coffee machine and kitchen equipment was top notch. I'd highly recommend this place.
It is a little farther away from the city center (~25-30 minute walk to the old town) but pretty close to the main train station.

Staycity is conveniently located, 10 minutes walk from Heidelberg main station, slightly outside the central area. The area itself has a slightly industrial feel, but our apartment was perfect for our 3-night stay visiting family; it was clean and functional. The kitchenette is well-equipped, with microwave, 2-ring electric hob, kettle, pod coffee machine and dishwasher, although we only had breakfast in the apartment. The bed was large and comfortable and the wc and shower room were separate. The staff were lovely, spoke good English and were very helpful with any requests for additional supplies. The bar in the foyer is useful for a pre-dinner drink or nightcap and some items, such as water, sweets and croissants were available free of charge. The foyer also has fridges with drinks and snacks available to buy.
I found the hairdryer provided in the bathroom difficult to use, as it didn't have a nozzle for directing air when blow-drying. I asked at reception whether they had an alternative I could borrow and the staff member immediately found me a portable hairdryer to use, which was great. I would bring my own next time, in case no other were available.
The only eating area is a very high breakfast bar with stools, but it's a minor issue, unless you're proposing to eat in a lot. We ate our breakfast on the sofa, using the large coffee table provided.
We felt that one member of staff was a little sharp with us when we returned to the reception desk shortly after check-in, having not been able to find our apartment. We just hadn't understood the instructions she gave us to a lift that was down a corridor away from the main lifts in the foyer. Apart from that, all the staff were very kind and friendly.

New room but seem not finish renovate yet.
The room not clean. Once I had entered the room, there is foot step and dust on the floor seem like not finish renovate.
I have ask staff to change the room and he offered the last room available (which next to restaurant that you cannot open the curtain because everyone in restaurant can see you). This second room also have stain on toilet cover. i have to clean it by myself because no room available to change amymore.
