This cottage was a great place to stay and had everything you could possibly need. Beach chairs, coffee, nice towels, and a cozy cute craftsman vibe. King bed was very comfortable and the twin with trundle was fine. Just a block from the beach, felt safe, quiet and private. Very good check in directions. It really had everything we needed and we appreciated the bottle of wine upon arrival! Elizabeth was very responsive and communicated promptly during the booking process. Thanks for a nice stay!

This cottage was great for two parents and our older teen. The spacious garage was key for staying in Venice with a car. Everything in the house worked. Owner was very responsive. Quiet neighborhood at night -- we slept soundly. One teeny note: the second bedroom feels quite sparse and unlike the comfortable vibe of the rest of the house. Overall, this place is a keeper.

This wonderful bungalow delivered everything we could have asked for and more during our 4-night stay in February. My stressed daughter needed a change of scenery from college. At the last minute, I was lucky to find this gem!The bungalow is absolutely adorable. On the outside, it looks true to the era and immaculately cared for. On the inside, it has been remodeled with luxury details like a huge tub, steam shower, impressive Thermador stove/oven and frig, and cute rock flooring and wood floors. The original arts and crafts buffet in the dining room is retained unpainted ... beautiful and charming. The master suite is huge with a vaulted ceiling and amazing huge standalone tub. My daughters and I took daily soaks which were heavenly. The living room and dining room are spacious and cute furnishings. The second bedroom is smaller but plenty spacious for a twin bed. My daughters each got their own bed and space with one taking the pullout in the living room and one in the bedroom. The master king bed is so comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. Loved the industrial premium gas range and frig. The complementary coffee and welcome wine were a delightful surprise. The bungalow is 1/2 block to the ocean, literally a 20-second walk to the stunning and extensive Venice Beach with running and biking paths plus beach fun.It is in an area densely packed with houses due to the proximity to the beach and I was hesitant to book as we had booked in a similar area in Mission Beach in San Diego a year earlier that was loud. Not the case here. The landscaping is mature and creates such privacy that when we stepped onto the property, we felt like we were in our own retreat. No windows from neighboring buildings look in and again the landscaping is well done to screen out everything. I sat on both the front porch swing and the back patio and it felt so relaxing. The home is well-built so quiet inside too. The home is truly a welcome oasis after a day on the beach or exploring.Venice Beach is so lovely and this is far enough from downtown Venice that you don't get noise but short walk to restaurants. Also, just a couple of blocks from the historic Venice Beach canals -- such a cool history and are fun to explore. There are hints of the colorful 1980s Venice culture but gentrifying. The owner, Elizabeth, is organized, quick to respond and gracious. Cannot say enough great things! Highly recommend!
