It really is a 'chambre d'hôtes", the hosts share their house and their hospitality with you. They are artists (an operasinger and a painter) and you sense that in everything. The rooms are superbly decorated and they give you their best china and cutlery to use at breakfast. Nice breakfast, served in their dining room. Nice swimmingpool, kept supertidy. The hostess only opens 2 rooms, so it is always very quiet. Best bed I ever slept in away from home, and at night it is absolutely quiet - nothing can be heard, no cars, no trains, no airplanes.
Be aware that there is no airco. For us this was absolutely no problem - if you keep the blinds closed at the sunny side of the house then it stays cool inside. The pool is nice but small - but since there never are more than 2 rooms occupied you will probably have the pool all for yourself.
