The location is excellent. A few steps away from the cathedral. Breakfast was very good, enough to satisfy most people's appetite.
I mentioned in another review that having a table in the room would have been helpful.

In every way what we were looking for, a place to stay only a short walk to the cathedral- Chartres.
All facilities were up to and above scratch- altogether satisfying.

The Hotellerie could hardly be closer to Chartres Cathedral which is great. My small room had pretty comfortable bed.
No a-c or fan and wooden shutters meant you couldn't leave window open for air if you also wanted darkness. Narrow bed seemed too "monastic" to me. Bathroom very small. No other facilities in room - even needed to ask for a hairdrier. Not warmest of welcomes - can't check in before 3pm (or leave bags) and main door is closed from 8pm to 7am even though many guests will want to be seeing the light show that starts after dark!
