Our tranquil 1927 beach house was the first hunting lodge to overlook Solstice Canyon, known then & now for its spectacular beauty & wildlife. Savor this heavenly slice of historic Malibu among the hummingbirds, hiking trails, eucalyptus & ocean mist. Shower under the stars. 5 min to beach, 7 min to Pepperdine, 10 min to shops & restaurants in central Malibu. Quiet comfort within striking distance of all that LA has to offer. It felt like staying at a family’s place, but ofc you get the whole place to yourself. Me and my partner had a really great time enjoying the fresh air, nice and cozy open backyard- and all the convenient amenities. It is such a nice getaway to add life to your days. Highly recommend!

A quick getaway weekend close to beaches and hiking, the house was easy to find, clean, beautiful; our host was responsive and helpful. The outdoor shower was the best feature with blooming honeysuckle; the fig tree a delight to sit under with morning coffee.

This place was perfect for our family of 3. We especially loved that the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, and the outdoor shower was a highlight. Great views, and a cozy home.

The place was amazing, no complaints whatsoever. The only thing to know about the stay is that the drive up the side of the hill is a little daunting to newbies. Once you drive it a few times, it doesn't seem so overwhelming, but the first time (especially at night) isn't ideal. Another thing to know about house, is if security is very important to you, I don't suggest staying. The main bedroom is on the street level, and the only thing between you and an intruder is a glass sliding door. Outside of those 2 things, it was very pleasant.
