Myself and my husband stayed here June/July 2022. For us it was ideal. Off the beaten track but easily accessible by car and only a few minutes drive to tavernas and shops. If taking children or elderly be aware there are a few steps to the villa and the pool area, and the pool is all one depth with no shallow end for young children. A car is recommended but I'm sure the local taxi service wouldn't be too expensive. A really relaxful environment and we shall definitely be returning.

Wir waren im Juni 2022 für 10 Tage in dem Haus. Ehepaar (49/44) und Zwillinge (M/W 18)
Der Kontakt vorher mit dem Betreuer Ioannis war schon sehr freundlich und problemlos. Am Anreisetag kamen wir einige Stunden früher auf Kreta an. Er entschuldigte sich, dass er bis 17 Uhr arbeiten müsse - aber natürlich könnten wir schon ins Haus, der Schlüssel war deponiert. Später kam er mit frischen Kirschen und leckerem Kuchen!
Das Haus war sehr schön sauber. Es hat einige Gebrauchsspuren (aber die scheinen mir im Vergleich zu so manch anderem Haus auf Kreta eher kosmetischen Natur zu sein!) Ein fehlender Topf für 4 Personen wurde umgehend beschafft, der sonnenbeschädigte Kescher für den Pool sofort ersetzt und als wir nach der Möglichkeit für deutsches TV fragten besorgte Ioannis erst ein spezielles Kabel und als das nicht funktionierte sogar eine TV-Stick.
Zwischendurch kam er bzw. sein Bruder 2x um den Pool zu reinigen und 1x für neue Bettwäsche und Handtücher. Immer mit Anmeldung!
Ansonsten war das Haus komplett und gut ausgestattet. Vor allem die zwei - eigentlich 3 - Terassen verschafften uns viel Freiraum.
Wir haben neben Preveli, Saiten Limania und Plakias Beach auch die Strände von Rethymon und Episkopi besucht. Balos und Elafonosi haben wir uns wegen der langen Fahrt und des Gedränge dort erspart. Wir waren in der Watercity Heraklion (sehr schön!) und in der Nähe von Matala in der Agia Marina Donkey Sanctuary (lange Anreise aber die Familie dort kümmert sich soooo lieb um die alten Esel und meine Familie hat nun einen Patenesel!)
Alles in allem ein schöner Urlaub, aber ohne Auto geht nichts! Spaß an Bergstrecken und langen Fahrten für eigentlich wenig Kilometer sollte man unbedingt haben - und gute Stoßdämpfer und Reifen!!!!
Wenn irgendwo steht "Feste Schuhe empfohlen" ( z. B. Preveli und Saitan) dann ist das auch wirklich so..... Dazu sind fast überall Badeschuhe nützlich!!!!

The villa had everything a family needed and was spotless. The location was perfect for us, off the beaten track but just a short drive to amenities. The owner was very hospitable, friendly and really helpful on recommendations. We came home one evening to a typical Cretan meal his mother cooked which was delicious. I also had a surprise birthday cake from the owner which was a lovely touch. On arrival the fridge had the essentials needed which was very welcome. We travelled to the south of the Island which had much quieter and sandier beaches which we love however the trip to Balos beach and lagoon was totally breathtaking
( a word of warning- drive to Kissamos and then take the ferry from Kissamos! The drive into the mountain and car park was hair raising and pretty terrifying along with the 35 minute (min) descent and ascent walk back along a very rocky, and long pathway back up to the car was only something I will never want to do again!)
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The sunsets from each of our sun terraces of the villa were spectacular. Air conditioning was much needed and worked perfectly.
