Good location for Florence, Lucca and Pisa. All available quickly and cheaply by train. Prato itself is also well worth exploring - lots to see. Two supermarkets close by. A bit of a walk from the station, but not too far (25-30 minutes) and pleasant enough.
One sharp knife (for cutting fruit and cheese and opening packets) would have been handy.

The woman on the reception was very nice and helpful.
The bathroom wasn’t clean enough and the bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were a bit smelly.
