The location of the property was fabulous, with amazing views from the front windows. The house was very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking and eating around the large dining table which was essential as our plans to eat out more were changed due to the terrible weather. The front bedroom was lovely and great to have use of washing machine and dryer. ( especially when we swapped rooms during stay so could wash the bed linens).
The small room is tiny and very dark. The beds are only really suitable for small children and there were 4 adults in our party. We swapped rooms half way through the week so that both couples could experience the lovely room and view at the front. The house needs some maintenance carrying out. The outside space at rear is extremely overgrown and really it’s unusable in its current state. When it rained ( which was most of the week) the area flooded so you couldn’t even open the door. The balcony at the front is a lovely touch but not very stable and bars are so rusty that when you lean on them they ruin your clothes. The first floor toilet doesn’t flush properly ( we managed to fix this during our stay, but shouldn’t have had to do this). Generally the house needs a good clean and paint as areas which are damaged due use over time but as we visited just after restrictions were lifted I hadn’t expected those things to be a problem.
