We stayed in a one bedroom apartment only for one nigh (couple with a 3yo child), but absolutely loved it! Our apartment was spacious, clean and cosy, nice garden view from the balcony. Perfect location right next to train station, easy to walk or take a tram to city center, Zoo etc. Even if it is right next to the train station, the street is very quiet and the area overall is nice. Enjoyed the option to have a private parking (extra 25chf for a day). Overall impression - modern and relaxed atmosphere in the hotel with plenty of the space in common areas to meet other people, have a drink, work etc. Our discovery and suggestion for other travelers close by this hotel - Markthalle in front of the train station - indoor food court where you can get food from various countries around the world until late at night.

The location is excellent, straight from Basel SBB by walk. Coop supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy are next to Basel SBB area. The rooms are clean. WiFi is okay. Pass-code for the door lock/ room key. Mattress quality is ok. There is a wash sink inside the room. Window blinds are metal and electronic controlled switches, fully sealing out the sunlight. Disposable slippers provided together with towels. Shower room water pressure and temp are excellent. Body lotion provided.
Staff not responding even he saw us standing at the counter and no smile or welcome vibes. Check-in will only open/available after 3pm at the kiosk machine. Shared bathroom/ toilet are at the end of long hallway, and only 2 toilet cubic for man/ 2 shower room (mixed gender) with everyone, approximately 10 rooms. Floors are not soundproofing, therefore it's hear-able whenever someone walks pass-by or talks in hallways. Pillow is too soft and thin, terrible affecting back sleeper quality. Be mind, the room at the basement level (but still have sunlight came through from a slope), and there is no rain cover walks from reception to rooms. The long hallway lights go off by sensor, at night time, it's quite scary and creepy to go to the toilets.
