a great villa retreat in the jungle away from the busyness of the centre yet still walking distance from everything you need. The staff were there 24/7 and always willing to help. Another great feature was the moped hire for 100K a day (about £4.50!) which made it convenient to explore wider parts of ubud. overall an idyllic stay.

Service and attention to detail by the service were great. We had a room with a big balcony, where we spent most of the time enjoying the garden and pool views. Breakfast was good, you could have it on the balcony as well. We chose to go to the restaurant area.
The location in the centre of Ubud is a big plus - if you like the buzzing town. It is a few meters away from the roads so the hotel itself is very quiet.
Due to the size of the hotel you had breakfast options to choose from, not a buffet. We knew that upfront so it didn't bother us. The Wifi was ok, but sometimes a bit slow (especially in the evening). Not an issue for us because we also had good telephone coverage.

Lovely spot, spacious, clean, quiet area just off a road with plenty of spas, cafes, and restaurants. We loved it. Great hosts and breakfast.
There were some narrow steps on the property. Part of the ambience though.

Staff friendly and helpful.
Staff organised a Happy Birthday surprise on the bed for my partner.
Rats entering our room of a night when we were sleeping.
-rat poo in our bed and bathroom.
Stairs to get to our room from reception.
Communication via emails and booking.com wasn't very good.
Couldn't find our driver from the airport that was organised by the hotel.
WIFI wasn't great.
Couldn't use the outdoor bath because of the Miskitos.
Pool a little cold (always in the shade).
Nice to have a few more things like.... pool towels, milk,
