on checking in there was a problem concerning a request the international travel section at work made and checked was no in place and therefore it was not possible for me to take the room for a week long booking. The staff and manager on the day were combative in the way the issue was dealt with. I was asked to provide "evidence" that the request had been made. I was advised to look for another hotel. I agreed to take the room for one night whilst I contacted the travel section at work ( I could not just go to another hotel without advising my employer). I immediately phoned my employer and they contacted the hotel directly. Following that the hotel made arrangements to move me the the next day to the Citadines. That is when everything turned to excellent service.
That management of an easily sorted problem was met with a very combative communication style by the manager at check-in and the reception staff, were not much better. However, once my employer contacted the hotel the service immediately turned around to excellent helpful and 5 star service by all.
From that time on my entire stay was excellent in every aspect.
