The Glenwood

Great view from room 3 (very spacious room with big windows), delicious home cooked breakfast, clean facilities and warm & welcoming owners. We really enjoyed our stay at Glenwood. Thank you Tina & Arthur

Absolutely nothing. It was an outstanding experience

It exceeded our expectations. A delicious breakfast was included in the price, which was a lovely bonus. It is very clear that the team genuinely cares about their guests and pays attention to every little detail. We have visited many places over the years, but this one truly deserves 5 stars. I work as a hotel inspector, so I pay close attention to standards, cleanliness, and guest experience. Because of that, I can confidently say this was one of the best places we have stayed. Highly recommended.

Mr. And Mrs. French greet you with a warm welcome and a family atmosphere and a quiet location, which in Torquay is surprising. I also received a call from a Mrs French to update me on check-in time as they unfortunately had pressing matters which was kind and considerate to inform their guest. This is a lovely little gem within Torquay that needs to be known a bit more, so please help support these people and book your stay with them. And for those who are vulnerable like myself, you'll enjoy this location as it is quiet but not too far from anything that you may need. The breakfast is lovely as is the room, which has some adjustable LED lighting which I found very comforting and a nice touch being able to adjust the ambient lighting and mood. I really wish that I had been able to book another few days. Unfortunately I thought it was booked otherwise I would have done. Anyway, I recommend this lovely little place for an enjoyable, comfortable and quiet stay.
