The breakfast was excellent especially the fried apple (nice touch 😊), all the time l was there the staff were attentive, helpful and polite.
I was sad when I had to leave to go home as my stay was so enjoyable.

we loved the period features. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and comfy. Good bathroom. We liked the natural wood furniture and wall lights. Maybe a softer wall colour would improve the room but that's just personal choice. The food, both evening meal and breakfast was of a very high standard, and the service was friendly and efficient. Also, the draught beer was very good too! All the staff we met were friendly and welcoming. We will be back!
Can't really think of anything except maybe the water temperature could be reduced a little.

The staff were all exceptional, the food was lovely.
Our room smelled like wet dog. There were dubious stains on the walls, door frames, side of bath? Strange bug had made a cocoon on the bathroom door. No batteries in the TV remote so couldn’t even use it. Noisey from the room next door and the room above. Sink was cracked. Shower was awful.
