Most of the staff were friendly, professional and did their job well. The hotel has nice views over the Water Meadows.
The room we stayed in was tired and needed updating, and re-decorating. The room wasn’t very clean, with grime in the bathroom, stains and condensation dampening and damage on the window. Likewise with some of the communal areas, there was evidence of minimal cleaning, carpets and paint work worn. The breakfast was basic, the coffee like warm, eggs not cooked sufficiently, clear runny whites, cheap ingredients used.
