The hotel has several strong points. The location is excellent, right next to the central train station and multiple subway lines, which makes getting around the city very easy. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the beds were very comfortable (though one extra pillow would have been nice) . Breakfast was okay, not exceptional, but perfectly fine to start the day.
However, there were also some significant downsides. The biggest issue was the price. We stayed during the Olympics and paid €415 per night for a room that normally costs around €100. That price difference is simply insane and very hard to justify.
The heating in the room was continuously set to 23–25°C and could not be adjusted properly. The air conditioning did not work, so the room was uncomfortably warm. We had to sleep with the window open, which meant a lot of noise from the busy street outside. Additionally, two power outlets in the room did not work, which was inconvenient. Another disappointing moment was when we returned to the hotel after midnight and saw a staff member smoking inside in a corridor next to the elevator. Overall, it is a nice hotel with a great location, but the price-quality ratio — especially during major events — is definitely not worth it.
