Beautiful location but the property is a bit old, with basic facilities and no elevator.

Grand Hotel Toplice in Bled is an absolute gem—there’s truly no better lake view than the one from the room’s private balcony. Waking up to that serene scene each morning was pure bliss, even more breathtaking than the popular photo spots around town. Despite being a historic hotel, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff made the experience feel refreshingly modern. Late-night check-in after a delayed flight was met with kind assistance, from help with luggage to personally guiding me through parking. Shoutout to the lovely staff—especially the young gentleman and kind older lady—for going the extra mile to ensure a safe and smooth departure. The semi-buffet breakfast offered the best of both worlds: fresh selections and à la carte options. While I didn’t get a chance to try the spa, it’s another reason to return. As for the room—ignore the noise about it being “old.” It perfectly suits the timeless elegance of Bled and the quiet, soulful atmosphere of the lake. Can’t wait to come back.

A hotel full of histories! The only hotel that was built in front of Lake Bled with a private boat pier and a diving port. I have booked a room facing the road which is a bit noisy. Fortunately I was able to change to a suite that faced the lake. Thanks to the friendly help of the reception staff. It’s worth every dollar of it and it is a must to book lake view room. The view is simply stunning!! Breakfast is good and amenities are good. The interior design and decor of the room definitely need an upgrade. I was told that the hotel will be closed for 10 months next year for an overhaul renovation. I am glad that I can enjoy the near 100 years old design and decor before it’s all gone ! But also looking forward to the new look of it. Definitely will revisit this hotel again when I next visit Lake Bled!
