Carnoustie Golf Hotel 'A Bespoke Hotel’

Very friendly staff, lovely bar and terrace, spacious room with balcony doors.

Toilet flush was broken but was very quickly fixed once we spoke to reception.

Great location with the terrace and bar/restaurant overlooking the golf course. Excellent service in both the bar and dinner/food was delicious. Good pool area also.

The room was comfortable but not ‘luxe’ and would’ve preferred a kettle in the room. A bit of noise through the walls from other rooms. Also perhaps a few healthier options at breakfast would be good.

Perfect location, loved the view out over the 1st tee. Hotel was spotless and the staff were so.helpful.

The Nespress coffee machine. Much prefer an old fashioned kettle 😆

The location was ideal. As Returning Carnoustie natives we enjoyed the view and the closeness to the beach The fact that the hotel has lifts was great, my travelling companion has poor mobility and uses a walking stick. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. Great shower.

The staff in the bar were pleasant, but took for ever to serve. WE had drinks in the evening and both times it took at least 20 minutes to arrive. Why don't they just let people go to the bar and buy drinks direct? Next afternoon, From the time the coffee is made to the time it is brought to the table, its lost its heat My coffee and tea order was sitting on the bar, I asked, ' is that my order'? the bar tended said yes, I'll bring it in a minute, then went away to do something else. I took it to the table myself. Went to pour the tea, there was no teabag in the teapot. Is training and supervision an issue? In the room, there was no instructions on how to use the coffee machine, and there was no information about local attractions. (this may be standard now, since we are all supposed to source info online)
