Novotel Maastricht

The hall was very nice, with games and areas for children to play! Outside too, with pingpongs and the swimming pool open until 8:00PM. Restaurant was really nice, quality was pretty good and service was excellent

Room could have been cleaner. Even after 2 cleaning rounds, there still were leftovers papers from the previous tenants of the room. On the first cleaning round, we suspect the towels were not changed. You also have to ask for some items like a toilet brush that I think should be in the room despite the "green" call.

I was welcomed by a staff member named Jelle, who was extremely helpful and set about resolving an issue with my booking. He did so professionally and with great efficiency.

We were grateful to have found this property at short notice because we made an impromptu plan to visit the Christmas markets in Valkenburg, and that city was fully booked. The Novotel was a short drive away, and we were happy to see that they had a couple of free EV charging points at the property. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast spread was fair. My children enjoyed the pancakes, and the coffee machine made a mean cappuccino.

The property was clearly showing its age, and could do with better upkeep. The paint on the bathroom door was cracked in several places and the doorstopper had begun to disintegrate. Our children had trouble operating the hand shower in the tub because the faucet had a rather unusual safety notch. The toilet - separate from the bathroom - was small, and the poor lighting made it seem even smaller.
