We had an enjoyable stay at Alain and his wife's property in Carqueiranne. We were warmly received and the property was well equipped for staying in with our 10 month old (highchair, travel cot, baby bath). The town itself is quiet and walkable, it is a 5 minute stroll to the beach, which was fantastic. The view from the upstairs rooms over the town in either direction is very pretty. Its access (a 15 minute drive) to the local airport is also great if you want to avoid lots of travel once at your destination. The property itself is basic and could do with a little freshening up, but for the nightly price it can't really be faulted. The back garden is particularly lovely, although the mosquitoes made it prohibitive to sit out to enjoy at the time of year we visited. I expect at other times of the year that would be less of an issue. Very kind hosts and a great value holiday home.
