Fontana Luxury Villa is tastefully furnished in a light contemporary style, while sympathetically blending with its rustic surroundings in the delightful authentic mountain village of Salakos, yet only ten minutes drive from lovely beaches.
Nestled in the foothills of Profitis Ilias and boasting both mountain and sea views this split level home is surrounded by beautiful natural countryside, olive, orange, and lemon groves, vineyards, freshwater springs and walking trails.
Enjoy swimming in the lovely eco pool in the privacy of the enclosed garden, or relax and watch the golden sunset over the Aegean Sea with the Island of Symi and Turkey's coastline in the distance.
Dine al fresco in the pleasantly shaded dining area, and prepare all your meals outdoors while enjoying the eternal sunshine, using the outdoor kitchen with built-in bbq, fridge, sink, and storage area.
If you do wish to cook and dine indoors, the air-conditioned open plan living area with a spacious well-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, and dining area is perfect for socializing with family and friends while preparing meals together, using delicious local produce.
On the lower level of this split level home, two spacious double bedrooms with air conditioning and ample wardrobe space lead out through mosquito screened glass doors onto a narrow verandah.
The shared bathroom has enough shelving space for each person's toiletries and has a shower over bath and WC.
In the living area, the sofa turns into a comfortable double bed, and a WC with built-in laundry facilities is also on this floor.
This Villa is also ideal for winter stays as it has a cozy open fireplace, oil central heating, Smart TV and Wifi.
There are complimentary bicycles and helmets on-site.
The charming plateia of Salakos is the hub of the village, where locals and visitors come together in a friendly and warm atmosphere. Three tavernas offer delicious traditional Greek food, while the café serves mezze, coffees, and drinks. The two village shops provide a great selection of fresh local produce as well as a good selection of groceries and wine, and there is a nearby hotel with a bar.
Salakos is at the crossroads of many of the island's roads making it an ideal location from which to reach all of Rhode's favorite attractions. Diagoras International Airport is only 23kms away, Rhodes Old Town 41kms, and famous Lindos Village is 48kms away. The popular holiday resorts of Faliraki, Kolympia and Afandou are a pleasant 45-minute drive, and Kallithea Springs is 43kms away.
Nearer to Salakos the beaches of Kamiros, Kalavarda, and Soroni are only 10-15 minutes by car, some boasting the best kite surfing conditions, while others are ideal for sunbathing on free sunbeds.
The Ancient Kamiros archeological site is 7.4kms and Kritinia Castle, 26kms, and many other mountain villages such as the tourist village of Embona are only a short drive.

Die Buchung lief unkompliziert und die Kontaktperson antwortete immer in kürzester Zeit auf unsere Fragen. Die Kontaktperson vor Ort war sehr nett, herzlich und zuvorkommend.
Haus: Wir wurden im Dorfplatz empfangen und ins Haus begleitet. Das Haus bietet mehrere Parkmöglichkeiten und ist sehr geräumig. Das Haus war gemütlich eingerichtet und verfügt in beiden Schlafzimmern sowie im Wohnzimmer über eine Klimaanlage. Grundlegende Lebensmittel wie Öl, Essig, Gewürze waren vorhanden. Weitere Ausstattungen wie z.B. Insektenschutz und Spiele wurden uns zur Verfügung gestellt. Ein Highlight ist der große einladende Garten mit Pool, 2 Sitzecken, Grillplatz und die Außenküche. Gartenliegen waren ebenfalls vorhanden.
Lage: Das Haus befindet sich in einem kleinen bergischen Dorf. Es gibt einen kleinen Supermarkt und Tavernen. Die nächst größere Stadt sowie der Flughafen sind in 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Schönere Strände und die Altstadt liegen rund 45 Minuten entfernt.
Check-in/Check-out: Es verlief alles problemlos und gewünschte/geänderte Zeiten waren kein Problem.

Das Haus war super schön mit Pool und dem Grill draußen. Küche hat alles was man braucht. AirCon funktioniert gut. Die Lage ist auch mega. Der kleine Dorfplatz in /min Entfernung hat kleine Tavernen mit gutem Essen. Alle Leute waren super freundlich. Dicke Empfehlung!
