Top Location, exactly against the most famous view of Matera. 5-20 minutes walk to almost all visit point. Very clean and comfortable, bed very cosy. Staff very friendly nice and helpful. Excellent!
The apartment door opens directly to the street, when the passenger walk through the street and talk, or garbage was collected, there will be some noise.

breakfast was less than average for Italy. Coffee was not great and the food offering was very limited. The outdoor seating was nice.
the check-in process was very slow as the host informed us she had several ahead of us, some at completely different properties in the sassi. they need more staff. our room was not a cave and likely never was. it was in the sassi. overall omfortable.

the exotic feel of sleeping in a cave room
the shower was fully exposed and not the best when you are traveling with a friend. not much privacy

Views from the property are stunning
We paid for an upgrade but the room did not reflect this. Be careful as the room you book on booking.com may not be the one your are given. The aircon is quite outdated so the sleep can be uncomfortable if the weather is hot. It is also very difficult to find the property - clearer details on the address would be appreciated
