My house with swallows is an exceptional, refined gîte, integrated into a 16th century manor. The whole benefited from a high quality restoration. The layout of the premises and the terraces allows for tranquility, calm and charm at all times.

We had a fantastic week relaxing at the house and by the pool (when the weather allowed). We were greeted upon arrival by Sylvie and she was close by if we needed anything. We also briefly met Jean Marie and Muriel who were very pleasant. The house has everything you need including a child gate for the stairs (we have a two yr old). It was our fourth time to the Loire and the best property we have stayed at by far - so clean and spacious. The views from the property are picturesque. The courtyard of buildings are beautiful. The external dining space is very private. There’s also a covered external games room and plancha (bbq). It is in the middle of nowhere but that’s what we wanted - it may be too isolated for some. To get into the village you have to drive or cycle as it is 5-10mins from the property. Abilly is very quiet but pretty. It has a baker and convenience store but shopping-wise that’s about it. You need to drive to Descartes if you want to do a proper shop (there is an intermarche there). Chattelleraux isn’t far if you want to go to a nearby town. It has a leisure centre which we went to on the rainy day here. If you want to go and relax for a week and not do too much - then this place is great. Any of the tourist hot-spots like the chateau at Villandry or Zooparc du Beauval (which we go to once a year) are an hour away by road.

Fantastic place to stay as a family. House is clean, peaceful and comfortable. Great location and local area is beautiful and convenient. Hosts and caretakers were friendly and helpful.

La maison des hirondelles à Abilly: un oasis de calme dans une ancienne demeure équipée aux normes de confort 2022. Une magnifique piscine, une belle région à découvrir et l'accueil charmant de Guy et Sylvie nous ont permis de profiter d'un séjour très agréable. Un endroit à découvrir. Merci à nos hôtes.
