About this villa rental
Villa with private POOL in its own grounds. Our Provençal style villa sits on a hillside facing south east with a magnificent VIEW over the unspoiled mediaeval village of Montferrat. It has a stone barbecue. The villa is well kept and comfortably furnished. The villa is suitable for 2 families and is just a SHORT walk from the village. The Lounge opens onto a large, covered Terrace with garden furniture, and a large fridge / freezer. There is a Panoramic view over the Village, superb at night, the gardens and pool nestled on a beautifully wooded hillside, offers both open and shaded lounging areas with complete privacy. The spacious open beamed Lounge with dining area includes a wood stove, leather sofas, color satellite T. V. and DVD Video, CD player. The adjacent modern Kitchen is fully equipped with a double sink, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric wall oven and a 5 ring gas hob, with a profusion of cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. There is a large American fridge freezer. A double and twin Bedroom are on the main floor along with a fully furnished Bath / shower / toilet room. A mezzanine gallery leads to the Master Bedroom with antique furniture and king size double bed. The bedroom window overlooks the Pool. Another Bedroom with 2 king size single beds, separate W. C. and shower room share this floor. The floors are covered with beautiful tiles very cool in the summer.

Very nice authentic French style holiday home, close to a small village where you can go and get your bread from the Bakery or the essentials from a small super market.
It is a cozy house with traditional French interior and small details. The house is on the side of a steap hill, with several smaller outdoor areas, for dining, sunbathing, and a small nice pool. The house has also a cod and high chair for a baby, but might not be too convenient if you have smaller toddlers, as there are a lot of stairs and no actual flat play area outside, but all outdoor areas are fenced, so can work fine.
The owner viviane, is a fantastic and nice older french woman, who welcomed us very nicely, and was very kind to help with any issues we had or recommendations for experiences.
The house is close to several larger villages and smaller cities, and only an hour away from the Mediterranean Sea, Saint Tropez and Saint Croix, so there are many things to explore around in the area, if you have a car, but you must be prepared to spend a bit of time in the car to get around.
We visited the house for 2 weeks, 6 adults and a baby (9months)

We stayed a magical and adventurous week at this villa. The view from the loggia is unforgettable, the house as French as can be. The medieval village across the road is magical and the locals are very kind and helpful. The bakery is a five minute walk that you won’t easily forget. The steep driveway is a challenge but very in line with the rest of this region where climbing becomes your second nature.
The swimming pool was amazing, Dennis and Viviane are superb hosts and so very friendly and generous. Our stay at Montferrat is one to remember for sure!
