WELCOME TO THE HILLS LUCCHESI AND TO "CASA PATRIZIA", THE SMALL FARM "AL BARONI"
At 12 km from Lucca, a delightful city in Tuscany, and in a hilly position on the road that leads to Garfagnana, there is the small farm "Al Baroni", surrounded by sunny hills and hills.
The structure was erected in the 18th century as an oratory, of which still retains some traces. In the following century it was enlarged and transformed into a farm with typical Tuscan traits. Now it is a charming country house, completely renovated and equipped with every modern comfort. It is possible to take walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside starting directly on foot from the house.
The nearest town is Ponte a Moriano, reachable in a few minutes by car, which offers all the main services, including supermarket and shopping center, bars, shops, pharmacy, post office, carabinieri station, ATM / bank, etc.
The city of Lucca is rich in history and art, in fact it stands out for its numerous churches and medieval towers, for the city walls and the Renaissance palaces, as well as to still preserve traces of the Roman origins. We remember the splendid Piazza dell'Anfiteatro built on the structure of the pre-existing Roman amphitheater. Very interesting to visit are the historic villas, of great pomp, built by noble Lucchesi in its countryside.
The Garfagnana is a mountainous region of particular beauty, between the Apuane Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, which offers a wide variety of landscapes, from an impervious and uncontaminated mountain belt to a practical and sweeter way to hills rich of fields and crops, interspersed with characteristic villages. It is a land that still preserves the love for tradition, translated into the valorisation of craftsmanship and typical cuisine, enhanced by an excellent oil and wine.
THE HOUSE
The house is on two floors and has terracotta floors and exposed beams in all the rooms.
The entrance door overlooks the kitchen-dining room, with a large fireplace; It is furnished in typical Tuscan peasant style and equipped with appliances: oven and hob, fridge and freezer and dishwasher. Small appliances available: coffee and cappuccino machine, toaster, kettle, food processor. Next to the worktop there is a small utility room with a washing machine. Through an arch leads to a living room with a large sofa bed, television and DVD player. The living room is equipped with air conditioning in common with the kitchen.
Going up the stairs in wood and wrought iron leads to the first floor. This is the oldest part of the house and is lit by one of the original windows of the oratory and a glass door.
From the landing you can reach the bedroom, with two bunk beds and a wardrobe. Also in this room opens one of the windows of the eighteenth-century oratory. On the right of the landing there is a small entrance which opens onto the bathroom and the master bedroom. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. The double bedroom is furnished with a wrought iron bed and a decorated wardrobe. From the entrance you can also access a small closet, which can be used as a storage room. Both rooms have an air conditioning system.
The house is surrounded on three sides by the garden, with private pool of 5m x 10 m, shower, sunbeds and deckchairs. Outside there are also a table, some chairs and a barbecue.
In the property a wifi system is active to connect to the internet.

Description of the itinerary from the nearby village of Ponte a Moriano: from the roundabout near the town, head towards "Ponte a Moriano 1 km", then cross the village until you reach the main square. Immediately after the square, turn left and cross the bridge over the Serchio river. Immediately after the bridge, turn right and follow the road for 3.8 km, always straight ahead. You will encounter a small side road on the left, just before another bridge. Take it and follow it for 1.8 km, always straight ahead. The road is partly paved and partly unpaved. After a sharp bend, you will reach a small group of three houses on your right.
"Casa Patrizia" is the closest to the street, at number 3.

Posizione perfetta nella quiete della campagna lucchese ad una manciata di chilometri dal capoluogo e dalle spiagge della Versilia. La proprietà è arredata con cura ed è dotata di di una splendida piscina. Raramente, tra tutte le case vacanza, nelle quali mi è capitato di soggiornare, ho riscontrato una pulizia così accurata. Tutto in casa era perfettamente funzionante, senza la minima (brutta) sorpresa o il minimo segno di usura. . La casa è veramente così come descritto nell'annuncio.
Un grazie particolare va alla proprietaria, Signora Elena, che ci ha accolto con estrema gentilezza, facendoci sentire fin da subito i benvenuti.
Speriamo di tornare presto.

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cette belle maison avec la piscine attenante. Les photos sont tout à fait conformes à la réalité. L'accueil a été très chaleureux. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Très bonne localisation. Tout était parfait ! On adore !

We spent two wonderfull weeks with our 4 children in that very nice house. Everything was perfect. Rossana and Gianlucca are very welcoming and do their best for their host. We visited Lucca, Sienna, Pisa, Firenze, cinque terre, Viareggio.... and had some rest with the pool.

Wir haben 1 Woche in dem schönen Häuschen verbracht und es sehr genossen nach unseren Besichtigungstouren unsere Zeit in dem schönen Garten mit Pool zu verbringen und zu relaxen. Die Lage ist prima, um die Umgebung zu erkunden und Ausflüge nach Lucca, Cinque Terre, Viareggio, Pisa und den vielen anderen tollen Orten in der Toskana zu unternehmen. Anfänglich waren leider die direkten Nachbarn recht laut, was die ländliche Ruhe etwas störte, da sonst weit und breit niemand anderes ist (daher 4 statt 5 Sternen). Aber nachdem wir dies kundgetan haben, wurde es dann ruhiger und man konnte auch die Abende im Garten sehr genießen. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichtet und absolut sauber! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und gerade als Familie mit Kindern eignet sich das Haus perfekt! Unsere Söhne (16 und 8 Jahre) haben natürlich ganz besonders das Schwimmbad geliebt! Herzlichen Dank für die nette Betreuung vor Ort durch Gianluca!
