About this apartment rental
Newly renovated apartment (year 2017) located in the town of Terricciola, in Aia Bianca di Sopra, just outside the village of Soianella in a quiet residential area, on the first floor, consisting of two double bedrooms, one with a single bed added , single room (double if necessary), kitchen / living room, bathroom and terrace overlooking the pool and which is accessed via a lovely spiral staircase. The apartment is equipped with a swimming pool and a shared garden with the owners residing in the same building; available reserved uncovered parking space, Wi-Fi service and air conditioning (living area and double room). Strategically placed and from which day you can visit the cities of Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Siena. Located near the towns of Terricciola, Lari, Casciana Terme, San Gimignano, Volterra. 5 minutes from the FI-PI-LI highway, through which, in 30 minutes, you reach Tirrenia and its beaches. We had a great time here and can highly recommend. We spent a lot of time at the apartment, and for 3 of us there was plenty of space to do this. (The living area might be more of a struggle for large groups, but I suspect most people would be out and about more than we were). The bedrooms are all a good size, and have plenty of storage space for clothes.We used the pool every day which was great and is kept very clean, and there is shade available both in and out of the pool. the spiral staircase down to the pool is fairly steep but completely manageable.There is air conditioning in the double bedroom, and living area, but with use if the shades and keeping doors open we were able to keep the whole apartment at a reasonable temperature without needing it on all the time. (It was around 35C when we were there)The balcony was very nice with a lovely view, and a nice view of the sunset on an evening. (This is accessed via the single bedroom, and the stairs down to the pool are from the balcony)Yes, the shower is a bit small, and like pretty much anywhere I have ever stayed could benefit from a shelf to put your shampoo on! But nowhere is perfect! We also found that if you had the kettle and the oven on at the same time it tripped the fuse (just behind the front door to reset) Overall the apartment is great, but as it says in the details you do need a car, so if you are looking for somewhere with lots of bars/restaurants in walking distance it probably isn't for you.

The place is just as described in a beautiful location. The villa felt very private and the host is knowledgable about the local area and gave great recommendations. He kindly gave us homemade wine and olive oil, both were delicious.

In the heart of a small village, this extremely clean and comfortable property had commanding views over the valley and to watch glorious sunsets, while dining or sipping Tuscan wine from the balcony. There was plenty of space for our family of 3, and sleeping was very comfortable (AC was a bonus). The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals through our week long stay.
We explored nearby towns and cities (all within easy driving distance), during the days (aided by excellent recommendations from Massimiliano), before returning to cool off by the perfect, very private swimming pool late afternoon to dusk. We felt we got a true taste of small Tuscan village life, hilltop towns (San Gimignano, Terricciola and Volterra) and bigger cities (e.g., Florence and Livorno), as well as a Sunday beach visit to Cecina with all locals. We had a very memorable dinner in nearby (5 minute drive) Casciana Terme on our last night at Garibaldi Innamorato. We enjoyed the tour and wine tasting at nearby Azienda Agricola Castelvecchio.
We thank Massimiliano and his family for allowing us to have this experience in their well maintained and thoughtfully laid out property. Massimiliano was very accommodating, very responsive to messaging and was easy to communicate with. We have no hesitation in recommending a stay here. We would return.

We had a great 5-day stay with our children (ages 7 & 9). The apartment had everything we needed, and communication was excellent both before and during and our stay. This a great basecamp for exploring—we did day trips to Pisa, Lucca, Bolgheri, and Volterra and then spent every afternoon at the lovely pool. Thank you Massimiliano & Roberta!
