Summary:
This is a lovely 2 bedroom Lake Maggiore apartment situated in the hillside village of Campagnano and sleeping up to 6 guests. It has the most incredible lake views which can be enjoyed from both the apartment, terrace and garden.
The Space:
As you enter this Lake Maggiore apartment, there is a long tiled hallway. At one end of this, there is a small balcony with lake views. Leading off the hallway is good sized living area. This is a bright airy room with lake views from 2 windows. Furnished in blue and white 'nautical' colours, it has plenty of comfortable sofas and chairs as well as a table seating four. Next to the living area is a large, well equipped modern kitchen with stainless steel oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a table in the middle of the room seating six.
There are 2 bedrooms in this Lake Maggiore apartment, both with double beds and both with views of the lake. The smaller of the bedrooms has doors leading out on to a terrace overlooking the lake. There is one brand new bathroom at the property which has both a bath and shower, sink, bidet and toilet. There is another bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
This Lake Maggiore apartment is lovely, bright and airy throughout. Outside, as well as the terrace from where you can enjoy the lake views, there is also a garden that is shared with 1 other adjacent apartment. The garden is set into the hillside and so enjoys magnificent lake views.
Guest Access:
Guests have use of the entire property which includes a large living area, spacious kitchen and dining room, 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The Neighborhood:
This Lake Maggiore apartment is situated in the heart of the traditional village of Campagnano. It's an absolutely charming village. However, please note that the streets of the old town of Campagnano are too narrow to allow cars access to this Lake Maggiore apartment. However, there is a free public car park just 200 metres from the apartment. Please note that the streets from the parking area to the property are uneven and cobbled so may be unsuitable for the elderly or infirm. The property is a 12 minute drive from the lakeside. Car hire is necessary. Please note that the streets of the old town are too narrow to allow cars access to the property. However, there is a free public car park just 200 metres from the property. Please note that the streets from the parking area to the property are uneven and cobbled so may be unsuitable for the elderly or infirm. The property is a 12 minute drive from the lakeside.
Other Things to Note:
Campagnano is a very traditional village. With streets too narrow to allow vehicle access, it almost feels like stepping back in time when staying at this Lake Maggiore apartment. This is what we love about the property and its location but, being a 10-15 minute drive down to the lakeside along windy hillside roads, the location isn't for everyone. However, if you don't mind the drive, you won't find a property with more spectacular lake views than this apartment! The views will literally take your breath away.

Die Fewo befindet sich im Gassengeflecht von Campagnano. Die Wegbeschreibung erfolgte anhand von Fotos und ohne Übersichtsplan, welcher die Anreise (das Finden des Hauses) erheblich erleichtert hätte.
Die großzügige Wohnung war bei Anreise gut gereinigt und erfreute jeden Tag mit ihrem irren, bezaubernden Blick auf den Lago Maggiore.
Die Einrichtung entspricht den Fotos, jedoch befindet sich das Inventar in keinem so ausgezeichneten Zustand, wie Fotos, Beschreibung und Preis (!) vermuten lassen. Geschirr und Bestecke bunt zusammengewürfelt.
Das eine Schlafzimmer riecht streng nach der uringetränkten Matratze, die dringend ausgetauscht werden müsste. Der Geruch verflog leider auch nicht bei dauerhaft geöffneten Fenstern, was den Aufenthalt im Zimmer extrem unangenehm machte!!! Auch die nach Weichspüler duftende Bettwäsche vermochte es (natürlich) nicht, den Uringeruch zu überdecken.
Die auf den Fotos weißen Sofas haben gelbe, schweißgetränkte Armlehnen. Die Sitzflächen sind bereits mit Decken kaschiert. Klappt man gar eines der Sofas aus, um dem "duftenden"Schlafzimmer zu entweichen, sieht man auch hier böse Flecken.
Es gibt ein Schimmelproblem im Wohnzimmer, direkt über der Sitzecke. Weitere große Flächen mit abblätternder Farbe an der Decke hielten wir zunächst für ältere, unrenovierte Bereiche. An einem Regentag durften wir aber zusehen, wie all diese Flächen sich mit Feuchtigkeit vollsogen. Die Buchungsagentur, die wir daraufhin benachrichtigten, schrieb, dies sei ihnen bekannt und nicht leicht zu beseitigen.
Der Regen erklärte dann auch die Ursache für die "ekligen Sachen im Garten und ganz viel Papier", von dem unsere Kinder bei ihrem ersten Streifzug durch den terrassenförmigen Garten berichteten. Der Regen lässt einen Gulli überquillen, der das Abwasser (nur dieses Hauses?) führt, sodass Toilettenpapier und andere Hinterlassenschaften auf das Gras geschwemmt werden und dort verbleiben. Wir haben den Garten nicht benutzt.
Die Balkonmöbel waren leider in schlechtem Zustand und auch hier mehrfach durchgeregnete und fleckige Kissen vorhanden.
Angenehm war die Ausstattung der Wohnung mit Waschmaschine und Spülmaschine, zwei Badezimmern und grundsätzlich viel Platz. Mit wenig Investitionsaufwand könnte man zumindest Matratze und Sofas austauschen- unsere Zahlung an die Agentur würde dafür auf jeden Fall locker reichen.
Sehr schade und bestimmt nicht nochmal. Wir hatten uns beim Image der Agentur einen anderen Grundstandart versprochen.
