About this cottage rental
At the foot of a pretty castle that belonged to La Fayette, on an island designed by the arms of Indrois, the mill of La Follaine welcomes you for a refreshing stopover in a haven of tranquility.
This authentic mill, whose origins date back to the 15th century, with an always functional mechanism, awaits you for an unforgettable stay under the sign of tradition.
Nestled in the heart of lush greenery, this charming house with a cozy atmosphere opens its doors for a bucolic parenthesis. You will stay in the adjacent cottage: the logis du meunier (unless you prefer one of its four cottages cozy and comfortable - booking on contact).
GITE: THE LOGIS DU MEUNIER
Away from all nuisances, in a bucolic environment, the cottage of the mill "LE LOGIS DU MEUNIER" offers you a housing recently renovated by the new owners. It has a private garden between two branches of the river where you can relax and relax while listening to the sound of water or birds singing.
Located in the property of the mill and an area of 115 m2 It consists of a large entrance serving the kitchen and living room both open on the terrace; on the ground floor is also a wardrobe and a toilet. A staircase leads to a landing that gives access to two bedrooms: a parent with a bed 140 and another 90; a second bedroom with three beds 90 (two can be twinned) and a bathroom with a large balneo shower and a toilet.
Perfectly equipped this cottage is as pleasant in winter thanks to its functional fireplace, as the summer with its beautiful terrace equipped with garden furniture and barbecue.
You will have access to the park of the property of an area of 2 ha, and will be able to admire the wheel and the mechanism in action and to listen to the explanations of the owner on the operation of the mills.
Located ten kilometers from the royal city of Loches, Azay sur Indre is located at the confluence of the Indre and Indrois, and offers a family and educational fishing course (certification fishing lodge in progress).
The route of the Indre bike (cottage label bike home) rich of 13 stages between Berry and Loire Valley, passes at the end of the path of the mill. Its very green valley will allow you to make many walks.
The village of Chédigny, famous for its sidewalks planted with roses and its festival of roses (18/19 May 2019), is near Azay.
You can also enjoy the Aquatic Center, the spa or golf Loches and go to its lively market Wednesday and Saturday to buy some local products.

Merci Mme et Mr Delwarte,
Vielen Dank für die wunderbare Woche, die wir in ihrem sehr ruhigen und gemütlichen Ferienhaus verbringen durften. Wir haben die Ruhe und Gastfreundschaft genossen und uns jedes Mal gefreut, wenn die Katzen oder der Pfau vorbeigekommen sind.
Die kurzen Anfahrtswege z.B. zu den Schlössern Chenonceau und Montresor waren prima. Vielen Dank auch für die Empfehlung des Restaurants La Promenade und vorallem des Naturschwimmbades in Loches. Letzteres hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir zweimal da waren.

Merci pour la merveilleuse semaine que nous avons pu passer dans votre maison de vacances très calme et confortable. Nous avons apprécié la tranquillité et l'hospitalité et étions toujours heureux lorsque les chats ou le paon passaient.
Les courts trajets vers les châteaux de Chenonceau et Montrésor, par exemple, étaient formidables. Merci d'avoir recommandé le restaurant La Promenade et surtout la piscine naturelle de Loches. Nous avons tellement aimé ce dernier que nous y sommes allés deux fois.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Die Mühle bietet einen Ort der Ruhe und Erholung. Familie Delawarte sind angenehme und diskrete Gastgeber.
Die zahlreichen schönen Schlösser liegen alle in guter Reichweite.
Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!
