For days out:

Lucca: Coreglia itself is situated in the Media Valle part of the Comune di Lucca, only a 40 minute drive from the wonderful walled City of Lucca itself where one can cycle or walk the ample intact walls, visit the 100 churches, climb towers, designer shop til you drop, go to concerts, daily opera recitals, or just people watch with coffee or prosecco in one of the many piazzas. Dining is a treat.

These trips vary from a half hour to 40 minute drive.
A visit to Barga is recommended - a half hour drive, and here you will find markets under the stars, regular music, well regarded restaurants, and there is alot of art too. Visit the Cathedral commanding this mediaeval town from above and admire the stunning views of the area.

We stayed for nine days as a family of seven and had an excellent experience. The property offers great value for money and is set in a truly unique and remote location in the mountains near Coreglia Antelminelli. We were initially surprised by how remote it was. The surrounding area is vast, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing or exploring. The weather was quite hot during our visit, and the pool was incredibly useful — a great way to cool off and enjoy the beautiful views. Paola, the host, was very pleasant and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Altogether, a memorable and special place to stay in the Tuscan countryside.

We enjoyed a fantastic two weeks in this stunning part of Italy - a place of forests, mountains and rivers. The mill is set in very spacious grounds and has a nice pool well heated by the sun. Inside was very clean and bedrooms are a good size. BBQ and covered sitting area were conveniently placed and we ate outside every day. Ideally located to visit beautiful Lucca and Florence is easily accessed by motorway. Coreglia is a very pretty village with good restaurants and friendly residents. Our host, Paola really made our trip - she is so kind and generous. Our first night was made really special by her making us pizza (honestly the best of the holiday!) and she kindly shared produce from her amazing garden including honey, eggs and salad. She made a real effort so we could enjoy our holiday so we would like to say a big thank you to her (& Danni for her helpful translation). Hope to visit again.

Pure tranquility with the constant burble of the trout stream. The house is quite someway up a mountain, down a dirt track and in a valley - not for the faint hearted. Pool relies on sun to heat and the temperature was still quite fresh in June. Great location for access to Florence, Pisa, Chianti wine region, and host of beautiful hilltop towns and villages. Only complaint is that the towels are not adult body sized for drying off after the shower so advise you to take own bath towels. Ideal for our dogs.
