About this house rental

This unit is a totally private wing of Spokane Riverfront home. (approximately 900 square feet). This is perhaps the most desirable river location in the CDA-Post Falls region, with over 164' of shoreline. Its river island creates a unique sanctuary for geese, sea gulls, occasional local bald eagles, and blue herons. We have observed muskrats, beavers, river otters, moose and deer. We also have a waterfall that brings many with cameras, and expressions of its beauty.
Owner of this vacation rental is a licensed realtor in Idaho and Washington. If you are looking at a second home, or relocation...Carla can show you listings.
The location is tucked inside a private road, near Highway 90, hosting only 3 homes.
Kayaks are available here, or you can rent jet skis or paddle boards or a pontoon boat near the Templin Inn 1/4 mile away.
The Centennial Trail is 1/2 mile away. This location is very close to where the Iron Man begins off Seltice. https://search.yahoo.com

It is possible to make arrangements to bring your own boat.
Bring your clubs if you are a golfer. The CDA Resort course has the beautiful Island Hole. In addition, Post Falls has its own great course, and the Lake also has Black Stone, and Gozzer Ranch. Also 20 minutes away are the 5 star courses at the Indian Resort.
If you are a hunter, you can check with guides here, or look online to come up with dates and tags.
Skiing is within 40 minutes.
This availability offers 2 master suites with queen sized beds. The living room has a queen-sized sofa sleeper. We have provided 3- 40" flat screened T.V's. We also have Wi-Fi for the location. There are tables in each living area, in case you prefer some private time. Each area has a balcony view of the river. One balcony (where you enter) offers seating overlooking the wooded area of the property.
We have a washer/dryer for your convenience.
We have 1 designated parking spot along with private entrance.
During the summer, the river activity is incredible. Be prepared to get a fishing license and fish off our dock (competing with boats that gather around our home).
Watch people surfing behind boats, water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, etc., or be prepared to do some of it yourself.
We have so many great restaurants in the area, and will provide references should you desire. And, we have a barbecue grill area, along with a fire pit.
This is the perfect destination for those that want a very enjoyable time with outdoor living, and dining, or barbecuing. It is not best serving to those that plan large party gathering.
If this works into your vacation plans, you will not be disappointed.

Carla and Warren are wonderful hosts! Their place is in the perfect spot right on the river, and it’s always such a treat to spend time there. We truly enjoy every visit to Idaho.

Beautiful area - great views from so many rooms in the house and outside. Access to dock area and 5 kayaks such a great deal to not have to rent these separately. Very nice master bedroom space - nice decor. Comfortable beds and generous offering of amenities for guests (e.g. half and half, water, toiletries etc.). Only issue with not giving a perfect score was the only acess to rental was a stairway. Really enjoyed our trip and the area.

This property has such a gorgeous setting on the river. My family had a wonderful time. Brought our boat and spent majority of our time outside. Carla and Warren are fantastic hosts. We will be back for sure.

The pros - Lovely view from the two decks and a nice quiet and convenient location if you don't want to be right in Couer D'Alene. It's great if you're using it as a home base for day trips. You will love having a drink on the deck in the evening. The owners are very pleasant to deal with. The cons - There seemed to be some lack of attention to detail. Two of the three sliding doors had no screens so we were unable to have good air flow. I asked the owner about it and he said they were being fixed - a renter ran through them. Doesn't take long to fix a screen and if they couldn't get them repaired, they could have purchased replacement ones. It was 85 degrees so air flow was important and lacking. Then we had a mice problem. I own a cottage and know they can get in most anywhere so I tried not to let it bother me but I did not appreciate having to clean their droppings off the counter or take out sprung traps during my vacation. That really would not have bothered me too much except the owner indicated that they may have come in when someone left the slider open (the vermin could not have come in had they had a screen in place and the screens have evidently been missing for a while.). Finally, we loved the fact that they had kayaks we could use. The river is lovely. However, getting to the kayaks was another attention to detail problem. The spider webs on the dock were at least 3 feet in diameter, complete with rather large spiders. Again, I know spiders will make their webs anywhere, but the owners should be going down there daily to keep it web-free for guests. Would I return to this property? No. But do I think they could make it a great place to visit if they paid more attention? Absolutely.
