The house was spacious, well furnished, warm and comfortable. The bedrooms were all generously proportioned, with considerable beds, and the one en suite and main bathroom were modern, clean and attractively presented. The kitchen area was spacious and pretty well equipped (although annoyingly there were no chopping boards - either broken or stolen by previous guests apparently).
The location was ok - a quiet residential street in Swinton/Pendlebury, north west of Salford, so a good 30-40 minute bus journey into central Manchester, but the bus service is good. All in all it suited our needs well and was comfortable and pleasant.
The location was certainly not the “10 minutes from Manchester City centre” in the strap line of the description of the property - unless there was a bullet train nearby that we missed.
Also it felt quite ‘rules-y’ before arrival - clearly they’ve been stung by rowdy stag/hen groups in the past so fair enough, but that combined with the £200 deposit up front all felt a bit unwelcoming.
When we reported the missing chopping boards it would have been nice if someone had just dropped a couple in. Aldi and Asda aren’t very far away and it would have been a nice gesture…

Facilities in the house have been upgraded to fair conditions in particular drainage system in one of toilets.
