Within the beautiful setting of the Forge Valley, this is an ideal property for lovers of the countryside and anyone wishing to be within an easy drive of the numerous amenities of the seaside resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and the picturesque Heritage Coastline. Adjacent to the owner’s farmhouse, there are extensive views across magnificent countryside from the grounds. This comfortably furnished property has walks directly from the doorstep and offers a peaceful holiday base for discovering this lovely corner of Yorkshire. Part of the garden is enclosed with a four foot fence, making it dog proof. The property is also perfect for anyone interested in star gazing. The local villages have traditional country inns serving good food. Scarborough has a castle to explore, theatre, restaurants, pubs, good shopping and numerous leisure facilities. The RSPB Reserve at Bempton is also a short drive away. Shops and pub 1½ miles, restaurant 3 miles.

We had a fantastic few nights in Groom's cottage.....a lovely welcome pack, Lynne was very helpful with local info and the cottage and surrounding area are lovely. The dogs were made welcome and had the best time on the nearby beaches

The holiday was just what we needed, total peace and quiet, ideal location for the dogs even had it's own paddock to put the dogs in while we were busy. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Ideal location for the either the beaches or the woodlands, best of both worlds. Will definitely use this cottage again. Carolanne and Steve - Leeds

Ideally situated as a base for the Yorkshire coast and moors. Being situated on a farm,down a quiet lane, it was very peaceful and relaxing. We took our two Labradors and they were made very welcome, with a woodland walk, 100 metres down the bridleway. If its peace and quiet that you are looking for I would recommend this property.
