Situated in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, on the owner’s working farm, it is a haven of peace and tranquillity, surrounded by meadows and woodland, footpaths and bridleways. The village of Lockton (one mile) has a tea room with the local inns serving good meals. Pickering (six miles) has an array of shops, restaurants and pubs and is home to the Steam Preservation Railway. The ancient fishing port of Whitby is 15 minutes drive away with Scarborough, Filey and York within easy driving distance.

We try much enjoyed our stay at Pasture Barn, the cottage was lovely and cozy and in such a peaceful location, perfect for getting away from it all and enjoying the countryside. There are some very pleasant little towns nearby and the coast is less than a 30 minute drive away.

Pasture Barn, was just what we needed - a relaxing break, in beautiful countryside.
It is spacious, very clean and very much a home from home. We received a lovely welcome gift plus a pint of milk in the fridge, so we didn't have to drive to the shop straight away to make a brew.
The owners were friendly and you knew that they would be at there if needed.
Great location to explore North Yorkshire, from Pickering to the beautiful beach at Sandsend and much more in this beautiful county.
When we had a lot of snow ,so we snuggled in Pasture Barn and took advantage of the DVD player and reading books, magazines.
