With spectacular views from the garden over the lovely wooded countryside of Bilsdale and riverside and woodland walks straight from the doorstep, Featherstone Farm Cottage is situated just 6 miles from Helmsley within the North York Moors National Park. All on ground floor level and situated on a working farm, it provides comfortable holiday accommodation with the benefit of a multi fuel stove which heats the radiators. The lovely market town of Helmsley provides excellent shops for day to day requirements, Rievaulx Abbey and the National Park Information Centre are within easy reach.

We spent 3 nights in this lovely cottage and enjoyed every minute! It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and really cosy and comfortable. The log burner was especially appreciated for cosy nights by the fire after a full day exploring the spectacular North York Moors. The views from the cottage are beautiful and the surroundings are perfect for anyone just wanting to get away from it all. The owners, Gordon and Gill could not have been more kind and welcoming to us and our little dog! Would definitely recommend!

Had a beautiful holiday here at Featherholme farm cottage situated about 5 miles from the little town of Helmsley, the cottage is nestled in a small valley on the North Yorkshire Moors, surrounded by forest and woodland, and hills, beautiful views from the cottage, lovely garden, well kepted and clean, hosts very welcoming and helpful, and ideal holiday for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle, lovely local walks and river near by for those who want to fish. Thoroughly recommended.

If you want a nice quiet simple place in a wonderful location without any complications and didn't expect to live in a serviced apartment or luxury hotel, this is exactly what you want. Anyone who didn't like it has obviously come in with the wrong idea.
