We were greeted warmly by the Nohl family when we arrived (which was a little later than we expected). Apartment was spotless and had good facilities including dedicated parking. We particularly enjoyed the two outside seating areas as we were blessed with good weather. The recommendation for the local beer garden proved a hit (it's about 5 min lazy walk away). We would have eaten there twice but they are closed on Saturdays ! Fortunately the friendly proprieter recommended an alternative (Maria's winery about 5 more minutes walk away which was also excellent. We visited the local vineyard (2 min drive uphill) and bought some very nice wine. The Noll family were excellent hosts and its a lovely and friendly area. We would happily return.
NB
Dieter and his family have some English which was still better than our German. This is quite typical of the region which we learned last time we were here. Don't expect everybody to speak English. Google translate is your friend however and the locals really appreciate you making an effort.
