About this apartment rental
The apartment, was awarded with the "Certificate of Excellence for 2014, 2017 and 2018", is located in the center of Florence in the picturesque and characteristic area of San Frediano (
It is in Via della Chiesa 111, in an excellent position, which is within five minutes from majors points of interest as Piazza Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, etc. You can read the reviews of the previous tenants typing Merville house-Florence on Google.
The flat is situated within an ancient monastery, and still preserve some of its old features like vaulted ceilings with visible bricks, stone capitals and thick walls which insure a superb insulation from both temperature and noisy sounds.
APARTMENT INTERIORS
The living room has a beautiful vaulted ceiling with exposed bricks, stone capitals and baseboards. It also has a small balcony equipped with a washing machine.
There is a very good heating/conditioning system which is also quiet. The split air conditioning is located in the living room, the bed room (well-aerated) is equipped with a tower fan.
The master bedroom is furnished with an ample wardrobe and a shoe rack.
A magnificent view can also be enjoyed from its windows.
The living room is fully furnished with a comfortable armchair, a sofa bed, hi-fi system and a caffe table which can be turned into a fully functioning dinner table, able can accommodate up to 8 people.
The kitchen area includes an oven, dishwasher, fridge and all the kitchenware needed to cook any kind of meal.
The access to the bathroom is through a pleasurable and traditional small stone room, fitted with a hydro-massage jets shower.
LOCATION
Out flat is located in the area of 'Oltrarno' (one of the
sides of the river Arno), which is also know by the local people as the 'Diladdarno' area.
This part of the city is a completing part of the historic center of Florence and includes the famous districts of Santo Spirito and San Frediano. The list of the attractions in this are includes several monuments, gardens, museums and unique ancient buildings. As an essential part of this picturesque area you will find Palazzo Pitti, the Basilica di Santo Spirito, the Giardino di Boboli. Other attractions include the workshops of artisans, goldsmiths, art restorers and other crafts which are part of our culture. The true spirit of Renaissance can easily be felt just walking around.
SERVICES
Within 100 metres fro the house you will find Piazza Tasso, a famous square which has been turned into a car park for non-residents people (marked by the blue lines).
From there, there is a vast network of buses which will bring you near any attraction you might want to visit.
A Supermarket (Pennymarket), opened seven days a week (8-21, Sunday: 9-13), is available in Via Burchiello, 93/95 500 mt frome apt.
There are four traditional restaurants in the square, all famous for their unique specialisation areas:
1) Ristorante 'Barbecue', for any grill maniac
2 )Ristorante 'Vecchia bettola', specialised in succulent Florentine T-bone steaks
3) Ristorante 'Tramvai', focused on Tuscany cuisine

The apartment was excellent and in a very quiet area of Florence. The host provided some snacks and all the amenities were available to us. We were a short distance from the sites. Highly recommended.

This rental is in a great location. A neighborhood away from the big crowds. The place has very limited kitchen space and no outdoor space due to machines being on the balcony. But the place is comfortable and works great for a Florence stay.

Every part of this quaint apartment is tactfully decorated. It is a perfect location with wonderful energy. There is a little store a half block away and easy walk to all sites. Book this if you can!!! Only downside is parking--- you'll have to search for a space for a long time, or pay in a parking lot for a day fee.
