The 6th & 8th bedrooms have a separate entrance, and will be perfect for grown kids/teenagers, or the nanny or Grandma and Grandpa to get away from the noise! Gorgeous view, so relaxing watching the surfers and pelicans. We had a great family time. The amenities were as advertised, but the house maintenance has fallen behind. For example: many of the windows in the living areas were streaked with condensation in between layers, some shades were broken, the fireplaces were not functional, some furniture was frayed, the flagstones around the pool need replacing. Tony said he would provide a chef for us for one evening, but that never materialized.The major problems were in the kitchen, where the stove needed repairs and the ovens did not work. This was Thanksgiving week! I give Tim, the property manager, 5 stars for his handling of all our questions/complaints. Workmen came one day to replace parts of the stove, and when it was not clear if the ovens would be repaired by Thanksgiving day, Tim obtained a precooked turkey for us. (Though it needed reheating in an oven anyway!) He also got housekeeping in to dry out the carpet and deodorize the theater after rain seeped in.I was told that Tony plans to start major revisions on the house soon, which may explain the lack of maintenance. In the meantime, given the hefty price, and given that this was supposed to be the height of luxury now, I would give it 3 and one half stars. Rounded up to 4 because of the wonderful site.

Location, location, location, was amazing, this house has the best views. Our host was stellar and responsive to our needs during our stay. They have a great golf cart which made runs to the beach or grocery store easy. We will be returing.

First and Foremost I am not writing this fishing for some money refund as owner Tony accuses most recent reviewers.
House is as presented on VRBO. Wonderful 24 hours day views of gorgeous Pacific Ocean La Jolla, surfers, Etc. Beach access as easily accomplished as advertised.
Owner(s) not caring for property to levels property deserves. Essential sliding glass doors to patio views, pool, etc almost impossible to slide open and close. Elevator hardly works in a house highly vertical. We counted ten levels connected with stairs. All OK yet for those non stairs folks too difficult.
Upon arrival pool and jacuzzi dirty and cleaned for our final day during which we discovered these enjoyable. house manager Tim was very responsive and kind. House simply needs deferred maintenance issues fixed and fixed soon.
Bifurcated house basically two sides each with five or so levels connected with one another on couple of common levels. All in all a wonderful time far as sleeping accommodations, views and beach access, common areas, kitchen functionality, Etc.
Again, owners need to keep up this multimillion dollar party house!!!
