The host was very responsive and communicated at a good frequency. The house was even ready early on our check in day. It was well appointed and looks just like the pictures. The gas fireplace is definitely a nice addition! It was also nice to look out the window and see the lake! Raccoon Park right next to the property was a really great feature as well- we spent time over there fishing and birding Prospective renters should definitely read the rental agreement- there is a lot of information in there that you shouldn't gloss over - including expectations of the renters. We are mid-50s and hike a lot - the steps/walkway down to the beach is pretty steep (like the agreement cautions). We were a little surprised to see what appeared to be a small campground on the property next door. We were there off season so didn't see anyone and there is a good amount of land between that and the house but we just didn't realize it. Overall, it was a nice stay and met what we were looking for on our first trip to Lake Erie.

The cabin was a little outdated and I would not recommend it for families with small children. Probably much better for parties in the summer it was very dreary during our stay. There is a lot of paperwork you will be required to fill out not through the VRBO app to stay here.
