About this chalet rental
The Chalet "The Bric Bouchet" is a former alpine chalet, without electricity, 80 m2 on 3 levels, with 12 beds, completely restored with care and equipped with every comfort (bathroom with toilet, kitchen equipped with stove and gas fridge, wood burning), with
• A private garden (not fenced)
• A balcony upstairs.
The cottage includes:
- In the basement
1 cellar
Garden furniture (table and chairs), if it is not already installed in the garden.
- Ground floor
1 single living room with 1 kitchen (without separation from the rest of the room), 1 dining room, 1 dining room with fireplace, 1 wood stove.
- 1st floor
Access by an external staircase (steep)
1 bathroom (shower) with toilet. 1 bedroom (without separation from the rest of the room), 1 stove, 1 balcony (North facing)
- 2nd floor
Access by internal stairs (steep)
1 single room used as dormitory
Heating and hot water
Heating is possible with two wood stoves (the fireplace can be used but is more like a hobby fireplace).
The hot water is supplied by a gas water heater.

Un chalet d’alpage plein de charme dans un décor de rêve.

The house is located in a super beautiful remote hamlet at 1860m. If you like remote with the confort of a wood burning stove and water from a source this is the best place. In winter be prepared for snow (we were not) snowboots/rackets and a sledge for you stuff make it so much easier (Jean-Antoine lend us some). No mobile reception. Phillipe, the owner was extremely welcoming. Romantic and really great.

Séjour de rêve dans ce chalet d’alpage maginifiquement situé.
Un vrai bonheur pour les petits(4 et 2 ans) et les grands.
Merci pour l’accueil de Jacques Dewailly et de Philippe Barbero!
Journée du 2 août inoubliable à Pra Roubaud avec des passionnés du Queyras.
On reviendra!

Ce gîte est bien adapté aux groupes. L'équipement de cuisine est important et complet. Mais nous l'avons trouvé dans un état de propreté douteux , surtout aux étages.
Au dortoir, et dans la chambre, les couvertures, oreillers et matelas sentent la poussière, les oreillers sont sales, il n'y a pas de protège-matelas : ce sont des draps housses non lavés qui recouvrent les matelas (la photo du dortoir montrait des protège-matelas blancs et un dortoir reluisant). Et enfin, ces locaux n'avaient pas été balayés depuis longtemps.
La partie "salle d'eau " n'avait pas non plus été nettoyée avant notre arrivée.
Et au rez-de-chaussée, le balayage avait été vraiment sommaire. Nous y avons retrouvé des cendres vers la cheminée et le poële datant de ...???
En conclusion, ce gîte n'a visiblement pas été remis en état par ses propriétaires en début de saison estivale, et les locataires nous précédant ont fait le minimum.
Nous avons , malgré tout, fait un ménage correct avant de partir, , pensant aux locataires qui allaient séjourner là après nous.
Mais, apprenant par la personne chargée de récupérer les clés du gîte , que ce sont les propriétaires qui prennent notre suite dans le gîte, nous avons vraiment l'impression (et y restons encore) d'avoir été utilisés à la seule fin de préparer leur séjour .
Le tarif de location nous parait, dans ces conditions, vraiment excessif. Nous ne relouerons pas ce gîte, bien que le cadre soit splendide.
