About this house rental
*** The Manor was built here more than 5 centuries, in 1480, in the days of knights and tournaments! This house of nobility timbered is one of the oldest and most beautiful Haute Normandie. There is the knowledge of the Companions of the Tour de France in the beautiful and powerful structure of oak, the arrangement of the studs and the remarkable carved flint checkered who will participate in pleasure having lunch on the terrace.
The large dining room chandeliers, with its beautiful space of 40 sqm surrounded by timbered will experience friendly moments with family and friends. Much of that time model ship can be admired. We can have coffee in the lounge, while the children enjoy the garden to run around and invent a thousand games with all the space they want.
Previously the bright kitchen and 4 meters work plan will have helped prepare together a festive meal, helped by good level of equipment (induction hob, fan oven, microwave, 2 refrigerators, freezer, dishwasher, etc. ...)
Large doors by hand forged nails give a castle atmosphere like pretty vintage hinges finished with a heart shape. The wolf head bolt reminds us that the wolf was part of the environment of the inhabitants of that time.
The staircase timbered said 'encloisonné' leads you upstairs to the 4 bedrooms, 3 couple rooms with large beds in (160 x 200), a children's room with 4 single beds (90 x 190) and 2 bathrooms. 3 WC toilets are present.
For details quantities charming, with its space and authenticity, this Manor which has survived the centuries gives an impression of comfort, warmth and beauty.

The property is beautiful - half timbered with character in every room - the hosts were fantastic - calling us on the way to share some history about the building and the area - great beaches very close by and history all around - a visit to the Atlantic Wall was special - Dieppe is very walkable with lots of great restaurants

Vorneweg sei es erwähnt, dass meine Frau und ich begeisterte Liebhaber/in von Ferienobjekten mit historischer Bedeutung sind. So sind wir auf der Suche nach einem Ferienquartier in der Normandie auf das Anwesen Le Manoir gestossen. Nach gründlichem Studium der Beschreibung vom Anbieter und der zahlreichen positiven Gästebeurteilungen haben wir uns für das Anwesen entschieden. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Alles war genau so, wie beschrieben, in Natura sogar noch schöner. Das grosse Gutsherrenhaus im historisch normannischen Stil erbaut, fachmännisch renoviert von Herrn Lenne hat uns sofort begeistert. Die tragenden Holzelemente, bestehend aus mächtigen Stützen und Balken waren alle sowohl von aussen als auch von innen sichtbar und verleihen dem Haus eine gemütliche und rustikale Atmosphäre. Besonderes das grosse Esszimmer mit einem langen Holztisch, abends sehr schön ausgeleuchtet hat uns viele schönen Stunden bereitet. Auch eine recht geräumige, rustkale Küche, ausgestattet mit modernen Küchenmaschinen und allen nötigen Utensilien steht zur Verfügung. Das Wohnzimmer, allerdings viel kleiner als das Esszimmer, bietet Gelegengenheit zum gemütlichen Beisammensein, zum Lesen oder Fernsehen. Leute ohne französische Sprachkenntnisse können bei Bedarf aus einer Vielzahl von deutschen Fernsehkanälen in HD Qualität wählen. Die Schlafzimmer befinden sich in der ersten Etage zu der eine recht schmale Holztreppe führt. Für Leute mit Mobilitätsproblemen könnte der Aufstieg schon eine Herausforderung werden. Die Betten und Matrazen fanden wir bequem und vor allen Dingen lang genug. Der Garten ist ein Traum: sehr gross, gepflegt, eingebettet in einer sehr ruhigen Umgebung.
Die Gemeinde Offranville hat eine gute Infrastruktur, Supermarkt, mehrere Bäcker und Konditorei sind vom Haus gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Herr und Frau Lenne, die Besitzer von Le Manoir waren jeder Zeit telefonisch oder über eMail erreichbar und waren ausserordentlich hilfsbereit. Beide sprechen sehr gut deutsch, daher war die Kommunikation für uns angenehm leicht.
Für uns als Fazit: Le Manoir, jeder Zeit wieder.

A beautiful property in a lovely part of France. Le Manoir is ideal for a family holiday, well equipped and spacious. The large, secluded garden is perfect for children and the terrace ideal for barbeques. Lovely beaches, picturesque villages and the town of Dieppe are close by so there is plenty to see and do.
