About this house rental
Family house and hunting lodge, this house, whose construction was completed in 1777, is located in the center of the village of Melay in the heart of Brionnais. Located next to the church and overlooking the village, the house and its park enjoy great calm even though all the shops (bakery, mini-market, caterer, restaurant cafes and tobacco shop) are within walking distance.
The house has kept many elements of architecture, furniture and decoration of the time: life in this house is in some respects a plunge into 19th century France ...
These last years have allowed us to bring to the house the elements of modern comfort essential for a pleasant stay without altering its old-fashioned charm: the rooms all have a sleeping parents in 160, the house is equipped with three bathrooms and a complete appliance set.
Large capacity charming house with 23 beds, the large kitchen, the dining room, the small living room and boudoir, as well as the six bedrooms upstairs and three bathrooms will allow you to enjoy the place with ease. family or friends.
The house is equipped with a heated indoor swimming pool, accessible from September 15 to June 15. During the summer season from June 15 to September 15, the outdoor swimming pool is available.
Note: The prices (updated on 02/17/19) include the consumption of water and electricity.
Heating is billed separately for all services (house and indoor pool and sauna) as follows:
From June 1 to September 30: € 30 / night
From October 1 to November 30 and from March 1 to May 31: € 50 / night
From December 1 to February 29: € 65 / night.
The cleaning, the supply of bed linen and towels are optional on request as follows:
Cleaning fee at end of stay: € 200
Bed linen package: € 200 / stay for all beds (beds must be made by tenants)
Bath towel package: € 60 / stay for the group (1 towel per person)

We have spent a wonderful week with friends and family in this amazing house in Melay. With plenty of space for us, big rooms, incredible garden and a great contact with the hosts we are more than happy with our stay!

The house was impressing. Some points for improvement: make the WIFI better: The WiFi only available in one room. The oven was also not working good, which was unfortunate because normally we use this a lot with a big group. Also replace waste bin and sweeper and dustpan: small things but in use a lot nicer.

Really nice house, yard and pool.
The town is not much but wothin 10 min you have access to a lot of beautifull lications. Be sire to check out the market on mondays in Macigny

Les points positifs de cette grande maison sont les suivant :
- espace sauna et piscine ;
- nombres de chambres et espace ;
- grand jardin et plancha à gaz ;
- jeux extérieurs pour les enfants (balançoire) ;
- grand ilot centrale pour la cuisine ;
de plus le propriétaire est très arrangeant pour s'adapter aux dates de réservation merci à lui.
Les points négatifs se résument principalement par l'accueil de la gérante des lieux :
-impression de déranger au moment de l'état des lieux ;
-réflexions déplacées sur l'utilisation du sauna ;
-d'une exigence inappropriée lors du rendu de la location concernant le nettoyage des lieux (pourtant rendus plus propre que le jour d'arrivée) ;
-manque de matériel de ménage (économies de la gérante ?) ;
Il faut revoir la communication ...
En résumé tout était bien sauf les points cités plus hauts et nous recommandons cette belle maison de campagne (idéale pour Haloween) ;)
