Between Le Barroux and Saint-Hippolyte-le-Graveyron,
the villa Saint-Gabriel, classified 3 stars and 3 ears Gîtes de France, welcomes large families and vacationers seeking the sun, absolute calm, nature and all the charms of Provence.
Located between the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux, it is a privileged place for sports activities such as cycling, hiking or simply family outings.
Close to the cities of Avignon (35 km), Orange (30 km), Vaison-la-Romaine (20 km) or Carpentras (10 km), you can take advantage of the Avignon festival, the Orange Chorégies and all the cultural activities offered there (museums, shows, listed monuments: Popes' Palace, ancient theater, Carpentras synagogue, Roman remains of Vaison ...) Several craft factories (berlingots, lavender essence, nougat ...) offer tours to show their manufacturing processes. Amusement parks (ex: Gruss circus) or water parks (ex: Splashworld de Monteux) are nearby.
Located very close to the village of Barroux, you are also 5 minutes from the two abbeys of this typically Provençal village and its castle which dominates it.
In all the neighboring villages, typical restaurants offer the culinary specialties of the region. Every day of the week, you can stroll through the numerous Provencal markets, rich in colors and regional specialties.
For wine tourism enthusiasts, the region offers several circuits to discover the Grands Crus of Provence (Châteauneuf du Pape, Beaumes de Venise, Vacqueyras ...) and in Saint-Hippolyte itself, you can taste the certified organic wines of the Château Juvenal.
The cottage is comfortable, both summer and winter (air conditioning and fireplace). It has a large swimming pool secured by a fence and an alarm, a pétanque field, a swing for children, two terraces, one of which, covered, offers you a superb view over the full of the Comtat and up to the Alpilles massif!
The 3000 m2 plot is covered with magnificent olive trees. In summer, when the cicadas are singing, you have the impression of being at the foot of the Garlaban, in the Provence of always!

We had a very relaxing stay at the Villa. It is very well equipped and we enjoyed the use of the barbecue eating food from local markets. The area is beautiful amongst vineyards and olive groves. The pool is salt water and was brilliant we swam everyday. Excellent communication with owners. Thank you Isabelle & JF

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und durch das Haus geführt. Die Vermieter waren gut erreichbar und dennoch diskret.
Das Haus ist sauber und sehr umfänglich ausgestattet - es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Räume sind groß und gemütlich. Trotzdem haben wir - drei Erwachsene - uns fast ausschließlich draußen aufgehalten an dem schönen großen Pool oder auf einer der Terrassen mit Blick auf die Natur.
Wir können dieses schöne Ferienhaus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Heerlijk huis op een prachtige plek. Afgelegen, zwembad en ruim huis. Niet perse luxe maar alles wat nodig is is aanwezig, zie omschrijving. Fijne bedden, goede gastheer en gastvrouw.
