5 km upstream from Orleans, beautiful historic city center.
Terrace facing the Loire (South facing), Comfortable living room with sofa, armchairs (TV + DVD and Internet), Large dining table, Fully equipped kitchen.
Upstairs, Master suite 1 double bed (160x200cm), en-suite bathroom (bath and toilet),
1 Bedroom 2 beds for 1 person. Possibility to place the beds side by side in 1 double bed.
1 Bedroom bunk beds 90, shower room + sink + wc.

Thank you for a wonderful week in this beautiful property and area. The house was as described and very clean, well-equipped and so quiet, the only traffic allowed along the property road is for residents, so it was just peace and tranquility. The view from the house is stunning, the river beach can be accessed via a walk down a path in 5 minutes and although you can't swim in the river, we enjoyed paddling and splashing about to cool down. The local restaurant looks like something from a French impressionist painting, it's such a lovely setting next to the canal and river, with lights festooning the trees and tables and chairs lining the cobbles. You can walk along the canal paths and cross the flowery bridges along the route.
We enjoyed exploring Orleans, it's a fabulous city, we loved the son et lumiere show on the Cathedral and discovering all about Joan of Arc. We had a great lunch there, hired bikes for 2 days so that we could cycle around Combleux and out into the countryside along the canal, but also to cycle to and from Orleans itself, which only took about half an hour along a beautiful riverside path.
We also hired canoes and enjoyed the river that way too.
We had one day out in Paris, which was only an hour by train.
We had the best of both worlds, access to some city buzz, although a lovely chilled-out buzz in Orleans, everyone was so calm and relaxed! But also this beautifully quiet house and water-side tranquility too. Highly recommended. x

We had a fabulous stay here. The house is clean and tidy, and is equipped with everything you need. The location is just incredible - the view out the front to the Loire is stunning and the house in in easy reach of Orléans. We hired bikes and didn't actually use our car the whole time we were there - wonderful!

Communication with the owner was fast, friendly and uncomplicated.
Our first impressions were that the house is even better than the pictures. It is set in an idyllic garden, with the main focus on the river, which is less than a stone’s throw away. We had the pleasure to stay here for two weeks, the house was clean (very clean) and well equipped. There is plenty to do in the neighbourhood and we thoroughly enjoyed our outings to Chateaux and towns in the area. There is a nearby restaurant that, although a little expensive, serves fantastic food. There is also a beer garden (Guingette), which has cheese / meat platters and other snacks, as well as good wine and tasty beer.
One of the best experiences we have had with holiday rentals.

Vincent ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber und er erzählte und bei der Ankunft es gab Schwierigkeiten mit der Putzfrau, aber jetzt wäre alles in Ordnung. Leider konnten wir das in den ersten Tagen so nicht feststellen. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr hübsch, aber es gibt so viele Schränke in denen sich irgendwelche Dinge befinden und man findet eigentlich alles was man so zum Leben braucht, man muss nur lange genug suchen. Es gibt in Deutschland ein Wort dafür: Unordentlich. Als Beispiel das Bild von der Terrasse in der Anzeige hier. Wir suchten vergeblich nach einer Tischdecke, der Sonnenschirm auf dem Bild war auch nicht zu finden. Es standen andere Stühle (Plastik) auf der Terrasse und wir konnten leider nicht selber einen solchen Tisch dort decken. Hier sollte dann die Wirklichkeit auch auf dem Bild dargestellt werden.
Zur Sauberkeit; Das gesamte Haus war schon länger nicht mehr Grund gereinigt worden. Alles war irgendwie angeschmuddelt. Vom Lampenschirm, über Türrahmen, etc.. Überall hätte man mal drüber wischen können. Die Badezimmer waren einigermaßen sauber und wir sind selbst wirklich nicht empfindlich, trotzdem mussten wir noch selber einiges putzen, auch in der Küche um doch ein bisschen mehr Sauberkeit zu bekommen. Unsere Empfehlung, das Haus müsste mal komplett ausgeräumt werden und dann neu eingeräumt, damit mal alle Dinge ordentlich verstaut sind ;-) Und vieles könnte auch einfach weg....
Die Lage ist natürlich ein Traum und wir haben viele Radtouren von dort unternommen.
