About this cottage rental
Cottage located at the gates of Sologne, in the heart of the Blois-Chambord destination. You are 10 km from Chambord, 7 km from Cheverny, 18 km from Blois and 35 minutes from Beauval Zoo. Ideal starting point for magnificent excursions and discovering the Loire Valley with its large and small castles, its gardens, its cellars and its vineyards. You can criss-cross the paths on foot or by bike via the many arranged circuits.
Housed in the old barn of a pretty Solognote farmhouse that has retained all its old-time charm with its exposed framework and half-timbering, the cottage offers a comfortable and charming living space that can accommodate up to 6 people.
Ground floor: 1 Living room / Living room / Kitchen of 40 m2, 1 bedroom with 1 bed (160x200), 1 bathroom (shower), 1 separate toilet.
Upstairs: 1 Bedroom with 2 beds (90x190) + bidet and sink, 1 Mezzanine with 1 bed (90x190) 1 bed (120x190). Electric heating + wood stove.
Fully equipped kitchen with essentials provided.
Bed and bathroom linen provided, included in the price as well as end of stay cleaning.
Free WIFI.
Reduced rate for one week rental except July and August.

This is a gorgeous little home, in the beautiful countryside of Sologne. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but is still close to a couple of little towns if you need groceries. The field behind is populated by deer, boar and foxes and we had regular visits from a heron. From here we were able to visit 8 chateaux within no more than an hour's drive, which was the idea behind the trip, and enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine when the sightseeing had worn us out. Charlene was there to greet us and show us round, and to assist with checking out. Everything was straightforward and easy - just what you need for a thoroughly relaxing break.

If you value peace & quiet this place is for you! This gorgeous property is set away from anything, including a road, an when you turn the lights off at night, silence! & it really is golden.The property itself is very well equipped, from the bathroom, a lovely shower, to the fully equipped kitchen an comfy beds. The main living area is very confortable (though there is no English channels on the TV, so we used our netflix account on the Ipad) but that really isnt a criticism. We found it an ideal spot to explore the loire valley as well as enjoy the peace in the evenings.Communication & check in was easy too! Recommended.

We had a nice stay at this quaint charming property. It was clean and check in was easy. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The garden furniture could do with updating.

Everything was as described. Directions to the property were very clear. Check-in was easy and the property manager who greeted us and the owner who arrived the second day of our stay were both very kind. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and provided linens were clean. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals and was clean on arrival. Spiderwebs were abundant throughout the house which is the only reason I can’t give 5 stars for cleanliness, however, this is as expected for a farmhouse and didn’t really bother us at all. We enjoyed our stay very much despite the rainy weather, which limited our ability to fully enjoy the garden. The location was very convenient to visit multiple beautiful chateaux in the region. Our children loved the two loft areas for sleeping and relaxing. We enjoyed seeing deer each evening we returned and even saw a sounder of boar run through the field at dusk one night. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again if I was in the area.
