About this house rental
Francois’ houses in Honfleur – Les Maisons De François à Honfleur LMDFH – are two first-class houses nestled at the heart of Honfleur. I have renovated, furnished, and decorated LMDFH with the greatest care to welcome you.
I personally very often use each of the LMDFH, and I take pleasure to welcome friends and family.
The Grey House is the largest LMDFH : located in the heart of Honfleur, just 5 minutes walk from the old harbour “le vieux bassin”, our holiday cottage can host up to 6 guests comfortably.
You will enjoy the dedicated Home Cinema room with its giant screen, the large kitchen opening onto the terrace and the garden, and the cosy sitting room with its log fireplace.
On your arrival, you can park on the private space reserved for you close to the house – a privilege in the historic district.
A minimarket is available down the street. And you are within 5 minutes walk of Honfleur restaurants, bars, art galleries, museums, shops, etc…
The house is on 3 floors :
- Ground floor : Garden, terrace, large kitchen fully equipped where you can cook and eat together. You can also eat or relax outside.
- First floor : the lounge area with the log fireplace, a small office, a bathroom with toilets, and a large bedroom with a double bed.
- Second floor : dedicated Home Cinema room that is also often used as a playroom by children, one bedroom with a double bed, and another bedroom with two beds (twin).
This is a connected house, equipped with the latest technology in Smart Home.
If you like technology, you will enjoy living the connected experience.
If you are not too much into high tech, just ignore this feature.
- Washer / dryer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, food processor, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, cutlery, plates, etc…
- Wifi on all floors
- Speakers on all floors to broadcast radio channels or your own digital music (iPhone or Android)
- DVDs and Cable TV in the home cinema (French and English)
- Books (French and some in English) and board games
The fireplace is operational from mid-October to mid-April.
The parking space is located in a modern building 150 metres away from the house. The parking space is 2,45m wide and 7,80m long. Height is limited to 1,98 meters. There are no additional charges for using this space.
Stairs information: the Grey House is a house on 3 floors. There are therefore 2 staircases, steep and narrow as is often the case in Honfleur's houses. If one of the travelers has difficulty climbing a flight of stairs, we invite you to book a single-storey cottage.

Really nice property with well stocked kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer). Lots of info on Honfleur at the property and within walking distance of town/beach/parks. Really recommend.

This was such an amazing house and stay! The place is spotless and so organized! The kitchen and appliances are top rate and new, making it so easy to keep up with laundry and dishes (family of 5!). The cinema was awesome and definitely a kid favorite. And the owner was so nice and easy to work with. Definite 5+*s!!

Well positioned with a short 3 minute walk to the shops and the parking space, which was greatly appreciated with a motorbike out of the sun.
My husband loved the huge cinema room and the many films available to use and the options for other programs to use on the TV.
The house was on three floors with one bathroom and a lovely cool breeze flowed through the house to keep it cool. There was a fan in one room if you needed it. It was a very quiet and peaceful area. The bedroom overlooked next door's garden, which had many wonderful roses.
The house is on a fairly steep hill but we found if you walked up from town by taking the road inland, you then only had one small hill rather than two from the harbourside. There are so many restaurants in Honfleur, we didn't use the kitchen much other than for making baguette and cheese. The Casino supermarket was close and well stocked though. The owner was very quick to respond to questions before our stay and the guide books for using the house were very comprehensive.

From the moment we arrived, this fabulous property became a very comfortable, cosy and extremely well equipped home from home!Our first stay in Normandy with our two excited greyhounds exceeded our expectations, and although the weather was mixed we filled the week exploring the coast both North and South and spent a memorable day in Rouen mid week.It was a joy to return to your superb house in the evening Francois, and the tech that is an integral part of the property made the experience even more enjoyable.To celebrate my birthday this location had everything - the house is close enough to the harbour to walk to the bars and restaurants, and we took advantage of this taking our two dogs with us to the delight of many Honfleurians. We were ALL welcomed into bars and shops and the dogs received treats galore!! Also worth mentioning that although tight to park the private parking space for the property was a real bonus and made loading and unloading a dream (those with children or dogs will appreciate this!!)A final thank you to Francois and Laurence (who welcomed us to the property) for helping to create a very memorable birthday celebration) - would highly recommend this property to those who want a centrally located, clean, superbly well equipped place to stay.The house a a clever mix of the traditional and ultra modern and we hope to return soon!!
