About this house rental

Rent house 4 people 70 m2 on the edge of the Tarn in a very relaxing setting with a green area giving direct access to the Tarn. You will stay in a very picturesque region, Gorges du Tarn and Grands Causses classified as UNESCO heritage. If you practice fishing, the Tarn is a very beautiful trout river classified in first category. For hikers, many hiking trails start from the village. We will listen to you to help you discover our region. You can take your meals on the terrace (garden furniture and deckchairs). You have private parking, direct access to the river. Shops are located in the village 5 minutes walk. The house is referenced 3 ears by Gîtes de France. It has all the comforts: integrated kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, large living room of 30m2 with a sofa, a TV ..

Great location and facility and easy walk to picture postcard Ste. Enimie where there are plenty of eateries. Stayed a week with our collie made easy by access to river am & pm.

We stayed in Ste Enimie for a month, and used the apartment as a base of operation to explore Gorges du Tarn, Causses and Cevennes. We checked out caves, river rafting, cheese making, turn of the century farming, historical sites (wing mill and standing stones), etc. The apartment was clean and nice, with a deck having a stunning view of the Tarn river and cliffs opposite with Ste Enimie's hermitage. The kitchen is well equipped, though we tended only to eat breakfasts and a few dinners there. It was a very easy walk (1/4 mile) into town. M and Mme Gosse were very welcoming. They only speak French, but we did not let our poor French be a barrier.

The house is absolutely ideal, equipped with everything you need. It has great views over the river. The owners are charming, they even invited us into their own home for a soirée. The area is excellent for a great number of activities and the town is full of historic interest. We particularly recommend taking the boat trip from Malène with the Bateliers and a visit to Castelbouc. Before our holiday, there was a long period of anxious exchanges with the owners, who do not speak any English. We were surprised to find that we were required to sign a rental contract and return it by post, together with a certificate of compulsory insurance we had to take out for the gîte, covering our stay – all this in complex French legal language. No help was available from HomeAway. As we were leaving, there was an embarrassing discussion, with our limited French, about a sum of 90 euros, which we thought was a returnable deposit against breakages and the like. We left feeling confused and somewhat disappointed – an uncomfortable ending to what had been a great holiday.
