About this house rental
In the Norman countryside, quiet, old barn restored with beautiful materials (stones, beams, handmade tiles), charming, elegant and refined with modern comforts in the heart of a park, overlooking the flowers , lawn, ornamental trees, a secure pond where one contemplates geese and ducks and a huge orchard. Ideal for sharing a weekend with family or friends in a spacious setting surrounded by greenery Norman. Kitchen with fitted appliances, open to the dining room. In the lounge chairs and comfortable sofas allow to rest surrounded by large bay windows with views of the park and in front of a large fire in the old brick fireplace. TV upstairs lounge with 2 sofas. The decor of each room (4 doubles, one with a single bed in addition) is inspired by a continent. On the ground floor, double room 'Chichicastenango' room has a bathroom with a shower. Upstairs a corridor leads to 3 bedrooms: Asia room (double bed) with its bathroom, Africa room (double bed) and blue room (double and single), sienna bathroom and toilet with WC. In the alcove, children can sleep. Computer available. It is nice to have meals in a green setting (two tables, chairs and barbecue), or relax on sun loungers.

A lovely spacious house in the French Countryside. The house is nice and warm and also has the benefit of an open fire which is a lovely feature in the evening. Nice a private location. The owners are very friendly and on hand to help if needed.

The owner was wonderful. Gave us 2 bottles of his home brewed cider. It was an idyllic setting. I can’t recommend this highly enough. We’ve beaucoup for the most enjoyable stay ever.

Lovely old house in a private park. Big rooms with plenty of space for our party. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need and, a first for our annual trip to France, more than enough loo roll!
The owner's daughter came round to see us and check we had everything we needed. She spoke good English which is fortunate as our French is quite limited.
The only downside was that there were no instructions for dustbins. We gathered from the notice on the Recycling bin as to what to put in it, but there didn't seem to be a general rubbish bin. (nb there were pedal bins in the kitchen and all bathrooms)
5 star stay though, handy for Rouen and the coast and had we been of a mind to, could have got a train in Rouen and gone to Paris.

The house and garden are wonderful, quiet, comfortable, and beautiful, with lots of interesting villages and towns around. Highly recommended.
