About this villa rental
In the beautiful village of Atsipopoulo a few kilometres from Rethymno centre, you will meet the traditional guest house 'Villa Elia', in which you will feel the Venetian atmosphere.
The owners have respected the traditional architecture of Crete and have used indigenous materials such as stone and wood. However, they have constructed a very comfortable house, as it is the most important point of holidays.
They await you to experience the Cretan hospitality, tradition and history, as well as pleasurable moments of relaxation and serenity.
Villa Elia is one of the two-twins villas that locate at the center of village Atsipopoulo, which can meet all your first needs. Supermarket, bakery, groceries and butchery shop, cofee shop, restaurants, ATM and pharmacy are all in walking distance (200 metres from the entrance of the villas). However, as you come in from the entrance of the villas, the whole atmosphere changes, as our villas locate inside the nature in a peaceful and ideal for relaxing enviroment. The center of Rethymno is also 5 kilometres away and 10 minutes drive.
Villa Elia is concstructed in maisonette style, measures 150 m2 and has a private swimming pool and balcony. Moreover, it can host 8 persons in 4 bedrooms. Two of them have a double bed and the rest two have two single beds each.
On the ground floor you will find the living area with a fireplace, a full-equipped kitchen and a dining area. It also includes the first two bedrooms, one bathroom and a lavatory.
The top floor consists of two bedrooms, a bathroom, a lavatory and a balcony with a view of the traditional village nearby and the nature. All the rooms are air-conditioned.
The villa is equipped with Satellite television, DVD player, CD Player and radio, Coffee machinet, Microwave, Toaster, Dishwasher, Clothes washer, Deposit box, Hair-dryer and Baby cot.
The exterior of the villa includes a 27 private swimming pool, a dining table and seats for all the 8 persons, as well as 8 sunbeds in order you can enjoy the cretan sun. The swimming pool of the villa can also be heated with an extra cost of 40 euros per day (upon request at least 7 days before arrival and valid only for the whole booking) In addition, each villa has its own barbeque facilities for your personal use.
The location of the villas are ideal for exploring our whole island. Located in the center of the north part of Crete, only 3 kilometres from the highway provides easy access from the local airports (Heraklion and Chania) and the opportunity to visit from the big cities of the island to the smallest beaches in both north and south part of Crete.
Guests will have access and full privacy to all areas indoor and outdoor!
We will wait for you in the villa for your arrival (despite the time, even after midnight) in order to help you with the house details and give you as much informations as you want about the area, taverns, shops, places and beaches that you have to visit!
Also we will clean the villa and change towels and linen every 3 days!
Finally we will be there for your departure for our last thank you!
We will be also reachable on our cell phone and e-mails 24/7!
Our home locates only 1 kilometer from the villa, so we will be able to come in a few minutes at the villa for anything that you will need.

The villa was everything we e pected and more. It is very clean and very well equipped. You will not be disappointed if you book this villa. George and his family are excellent hosts.

I could not recommend this villa more. The property is exactly as you see on the photos, it is a stunning villa that is definitely set up for eight visitors. George and his family are incredibly welcoming hosts, they could not have done more for us during our stay. The villa was clean and tidy. It was a great base to explore the area. The pool is great, we paid to have it heated and made use of it every day. The villa made this a very special family holiday.

Villa Elia and Rogida were the perfect place for our family holiday . There were 16 adults , ranging from teenagers to over eighty years young, and a baby. We all loved the cleanliness of the villas, the great beds by the pools and the local amenities all within walking distance. George was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely love to return and recommend the villas.

All unsere Erwartungen, die anhand der eingestellten Bilder hoch waren, wurden erfüllt. Das Objekt ist sauber, ruhig und sehr gut betreut. Die Reinigung des Hauses wurde 2 mal in der Woche durchgeführt, zusätzlich gab es auch bei jeder Reinigung frisch gewaschene Handtücher. Das Objekt liegt mitten im Dorf und war trotzdem ruhig. Der Vorteil der zentralen Lage liegt darin, dass man die Bäckerei und den Supermarkt fußläufig erreichen kann. Diese Möglichkeit haben wir dann auch regelmäßig für frisches Brot genutzt. Weiterhin sind einige Tavernen ebenfalls fußläuifg erreichbar und wir haben fast alle mal ausprobiert ! Die Betreuung durch George was perfekt. Er hat uns trotz unserer späten Ankunft gegen 23:00 persönlich in Empfang genommen und uns die wichtigsten Dinge erklärt. Mittels Messenger haben wir dann jederzeit für uns wichtige Fragen klären können. Neben eines Willkommens und Abschiedsgeschenks haben wir noch eine griechische Köstlichkeit von Georges Mutter zur Verköstigung überreicht bekommen. Beides hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt !!!
Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt in Zeiten der Pandemie. Abschliessend ist zu erwähnen daß der gastegeber George bei jedem persönlichen Treffen eine Maske getragen und den Sicherheitsabstand eingehalten hat.
