About this house rental
Our House is located in a very quiet hamlet, 4 km from Saint Dier d'Auvergne, in the heart of the Tuscany of Auvergne.
The house of 150 m2 has a garden of 1500 m2 with a swimming pool of 8m / 4m, heated and protected, a courtyard with shower
The House offers total comfort for an ideal holiday!
On the ground floor :
The living room with a traditional fireplace and a wood stove offers a relaxation area by the fire and a dining area near the open kitchen.
The heating of the house is electric, it is calculated in addition to the rental according to the consumption indicated on the meter of the house.
The equipped kitchen offers a halogen hob, an oven, a microwave, a sink 2 bins, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a dryer, a refrigerator with freezer
The dishes are adapted to the reception of several people
A toilet
Wifi assured and TV available if necessary
On the 1st floor:
2 bedrooms with a double bed plus storage, a bathroom and a toilet
On the 2nd floor:
1 bedroom with a double bed and storage and 1 open space / dorm room with a large bed and possibility of installing 2 mattresses for children.
The setting is conducive to rest, the hamlet has 7 houses including ours!
The garden offers your children a large trampoline, swings and a small slide and a vegetable garden with strawberries and raspberries for gourmands! A ping pong table awaits the biggest!
The heated pool is surrounded by a protective barrier for young children, a large deck of wood and stone surrounds this pool, a jet against the current allows more athletes to swim longer, massage gets allow relaxation and a bike Elliptical under the yard offers you the opportunity to maintain your shape .... Finally the terrace surrounding the pool is ideal for yoga sessions enhanced by the singing of birds! The pool is open in summer only.
The park of Livradois Forez is located in the heart of the Puy de Dome, between the volcanoes of Auvergne (Clermont Ferrand, Vulcania, the Puy de Dome, the Sancy, Saint Nectaire, the lakes of Auvergne ...) and the Monts du Forez (Pierre sur Haute, the Beal pass, Chalmazelle ....)
The house is located 1 hour from Clermont Ferrand, 45 minutes from Vichy, 1:30 from the Chaise Dieu, 1 hour from Puy en Velay, 30 minutes from Thiers (medieval town, capital of cutlery), 30 minutes from Ambert ( very nice town with its famous paper mill Richard de Bas), 15 minutes from Billom (medieval town, ideal for shopping with its famous Monday market), 15 minutes of courpiére (small town practice for shopping and its market Traditional Tuesday), 10m from Cunhlat, nice village with a nice walk on Wednesdays.
The activities are many and varied: hiking on foot or by bike, canoeing, bike rails, tennis, boat on Lake Vichy and volcano lakes, hook branches, via ferrata, visits to regional places ... flea markets .. ...
For golf lovers, several golf courses are nearby, the compact golf Cunhlat (9 holes) 15 minutes from the house, the Vichy sporting club (18 holes), golf Montpensier Vichy (18 holes), the Clermont Ferrand Volcanoes golf course (18 holes), the Puy en Velay golf course (18 holes), the 18-hole golf course for sheep, the Val d'Ozon golf course (9 holes), the Super Flu golf course. ...

It was a lovely location in the mountains but unfortunately it took a long time to get anywhere and the local villages were always closed- it was 10 k to buy groceries at nearest town. The roads were windy and dangerous in some places if one was to meet a big truck-had several near misses. Also the house had been closed up all winter and smelled of mold, especially the couch which I reported to the landlord. He was very accommodating when the stove did not work and had trouble getting the dishwasher to work-he sent his local French speaking housekeeper to help but I needed my friend in Auzon to call and speak French to her so she understood what was happening and also to arrange to meet us on our departure date. The pool was nice but the pool guy had to come out when I reported that it was not heated as promised. But all in all, the remote rural setting was pastoral, but I thought it was closer to my friend than it was. Not having the address before making the reservation and deposit clearly did not leave us with any option to withdraw from the property.
